SEPTEMBER 29TH 2021
STEVE'S ROOM
SENIOR YEAR

Steve picked up his phone. 12:23. The last few nights, Steve had some difficulty sleeping. He had an idea why however. He thinks it was after his meeting with Peggy at the beach. But did he still have feelings for Natasha? The look on her face when she saw Peggy was partially jealous, but she had seen how happy Peggy made him that day. Steve was perplexed. So like any man does, he texted his dumbest friends

[ texts ]

Third wheel. 🫶

Steven: You guys up?

Bucky: Steve man its 12:25.

Steven: I'm taking that as a yes!

Wanda: Don't be so stubborn Buck. Whats up Steve?

Steven: I'm just really confused..

Wanda: does this have to do with Nat?

Steven: Well, I don't know. I don't know if I still have feelings for her. I don't think I do. But Peggy is so amazing, I wanted to ask her on a date since she will be coming back to school!

Bucky: Oh man.

Wanda: Well I already love Peggy. She is so pretty and so nice. I will ask Nat on her feelings towards this, but, I think you should-

Bucky: GET THE GIRL.

Steven: wow, you two are soulmates.

Wanda: Can you tell Bucky to get off me.

Bucky: Can you tell Wanda to stop complaining??

Steven: Guys, now I feel even more lonely.

Bucky: Sorry Steve. Thanks for the interesting late night talk by the way.

Steven: Anytime.

Beep Beep Beep!  The sound of Steve's alarm had woken him up early that day. It was around 6:30 AM and nobody was up. Well, his mom was, and she was at work. His dad was still asleep.

He hustled downstairs to make some toast and a coffee.

Wanda's POV •

I woke up this morning to a very sleepy Bucky besides me. Careful not to wake him, I lifted the covers slowly to make sure they didn't fall off onto him. Sometimes, Bucky would just come over and sleep on the air mattress. Both of our parents didn't want us in the same bed, but like.. we didn't wanna be in the same bed either that's weird.

"Wanda" Bucky grumbled, he woke up and acted like he was extremely hungover, which we both knew he wasn't.

"Bucky, I'm gonna go and text Natasha to get ready." I ran downstairs, already dressed and waited for Natasha.

[ end of pov ]

"Nat!! I have to talk to you" Wanda said as she approached Natasha at the door entrance.

"Lets walk and talk or you will be late." She replied.

"So.. You can't say anything.. Steve wants to ask Peggy on a date catch up thing. He was really nervous for a reaction by you considering.. you know." Natasha stood there somewhat stunned, and a bit sad looking.

"Well its not really my decision." She said to Wanda, a small tear forming in her eye that she slowly wiped away. She loved the fact that Steve was moving on to become more independent. It was a great thing for him to get over this. But after Steve would make his move for Peggy, he would most likely be off limits for a while if they were ever to get back together. But, it wasn't her to judge his happiness.

"Well?" Wanda said

"I feel like they shouldn't tr-" She started. But, she stopped halfway through and smiled a bit. Hurt was portrayed on her face clearly but she could hide it.

"I'm happy if he is happy. He deserves the world"

Hey! I have learned a LOT from things like this. Moving on may be very hard, but you should be happy for the other persons successes and if they are happy you should be too. Their happiness is meaningful. Stay positive loves!
