We are now on break. Because of that we had the opportunity to go back home. When we got home mom and I went immediately went into the kitchen to make dinner. As far as Bloom's and I's skills go, cooking is still something I'm much better at, since leaving home and after since Alfea doesn't exactly have any home EC classes. Not only that but the girls aren't allowed to even be in the kitchen anymore. Except for me.
But at least both of our magic skills are getting better since we left, not that before we left that we even knew we had powers, and now we do and they work like a charm. A little magic humor if I do say so myself. However, while mom Bloom and I were talking we probably shouldn't had gotten distracted, whatever was in the oven was ruined, and there was smoke everywhere.
However, not a problem for our powers. The smoke was cleared and the kitchen was fine within secs. Almost like there hadn't even been one to begin with. After that encounter Bloom and I take our bike out for a ride around. When dad and one of his firefighter buddies stopped us. We gave our polite hellos and went on our way. When we ran into Mitzi, but somethings never change even after months have passed.
Asking us about what we were doing back, from what and from where.... Teasing us about school, those kinds of things. But the one thing that was different that had changed was we could now see people's auras. At first we weren't sure if we were seeing what we thought we saw but 4 eyes are better than 2. Did you see that? Yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one. (This would be where I got my seeing auras "gift" idea in FCBC season two.... Its in the "Greatest Showman" like chapter....)
Anyways.... We saw a blue aura on a man, and tried again and saw a rad aura of a woman scolding us for staring reminding us that it was rude. The thing that confused us the most however, was the fact that we don't have this power in Alfea we only seem to have it here at home. Yet, we didn't see one over Mitzi.... Auras that show people's true feelings? Now that I believe, it sure completes the fantasy of being fairies and having powers after all.
And it just kept getting stranger, there was no aura over our mom, but when we walked into the flower shop that our mother owned we saw two unfamiliar people. They were saying that they were gonna be mom's future business partners, but up above their auras told different stories how they were gonna trick mom into signing the contract with them to be her partners and kick her out of the flower shop and turn the shop into a supermarket. But there was no way we were gonna let that happen.
As soon as they left, we started helping out around the shop.... Mom asked us what we thought about the idea. Bloom and I purposely tried to avoid our answer. Hey mom do these flowers go up here on the shelf? Well yes Farrah dear but.... Hey Bloom? Yeah Ja- Farrah? Could you give me a hand please I'm not tall enough to reach. Sure thing.
Girls what's the rush? Is something wrong? Mom where did you find those two? Before I go and answer that.... Bloom what was it you were gonna call Farrah? Jade. She introduced herself to our friends as Jade and she told them that she'd rather go by Jade then Farrah. Whatever for Farrah is such a pretty name already? IDK Jade just feels right. Anyways mom about those two men?
I didn't find them they found the shop, they said that they're big business men. Now what seems to be the problem girls? We try to tell mom about how we can see people's auras and that they're really con men she acts like at first she doesn't believe us, but we tell her to trust in our powers. And the next min mom is talking with the men again and are confused as to what happened. But because of us mom denies anything has happened and just wants to keep things how it is.
These men Mr. Brown and Mr. Bonner they aren't happy about that. They remind her that "accidents" happen and that she should take some time to rethink this through, but mom's mind is made up she doesn't need to think anything through and she tells them goodbye. Bloom I'll get the pot will you fix the flowers? Sure will.
We fix the broken pot and put the flowers back, mom hugs us and thanks us. Next thing we know we're all on a montage of doing all these very normal human things and then next, at the flower shop a brick goes through the glass window. Mom why don't we go see who threw that "brick" and Bloom I've left you a "sponge" so that we can help mom clean up.
As the brick turns into a sponge Bloom does exactly that and the window is as good as new. Not a scratch or a hair our of place, but also not a single sliver of evidence that we can pin this to Mr. Brown and Mr. Bonner. The following day mom asks us to take a vase of flowers out, but however as we do that a car drives by and smashes the flower pot. Bloom look out! I cry to her. Luckily no one got hurt, and Bloom was able to fix it.
However the next day, things kept getting worse. This time when we went to the shop, the doors had been forced open, the shop was a disaster. It looks like we were hit by a tornado! No, it looks like we've been hit by Mr. Brown and Mr. Bonner. We don't know that for sure Bloom, I point out. Maybe it was burglars? Mom suggests. But mom burglars wouldn't had left the money. But we don't have the evidence to pin it on them.
At home dad suggests that we call the police, but we don't have anything to prove that it was it was them, nothing except a hunch and Bloom and I's powers, but if we said that to the police they'd think we were crazy. Which wouldn't do us much good. But at the same time we couldn't just sit there and do nothing. We had to do something.
Dad promises that in the morning we'd get an alarm system set up, but there was nothing we could do about it now, at least not this late at night anyways, but Bloom and I had this suspicion that it couldn't wait that long that we knew something bad was gonna happen. And then something did. We were in our rooms in our beds asleep, having the same dream, but it wasn't a dream at all it was a vision, we saw the shop on fire, our parents thought it was nothing more than a bad dream, but we told them we were never wrong and to trust us.
We got into the car and when we got there we were right. Dad said his team was on the way, but we were worried that soon would be too late, that we knew we had to act now. Dad was worried there was nothing we could do to stop it right now, but Bloom said yes there was because we're fairies. Dad said fine but that he was coming with us. I said no way I'm not going in there, your powers are different than mine, you can touch fire and not get hurt but that's your power, my powers are ice IDK what it would do to me but it probably wouldn't be good. That's alright, you just stay out here with your mother. We'll be right back.
Once inside a barrier that Bloom had created protected them both from the flames, and in the back of her mind, or rather ours we saw a new vision of a fire, but it was in winter, with snow on the ground. There were two babies crying. One was trapped in a fire, dad had went in to rescue it, a baby with fire red hair. And a baby on the outside with bright blue hair, that wasn't even shivering or looked cold. The screen splits down the middle like a movie.... A red barrier protects the first baby and a blue protects the second. The parents our parents pick up the babies into their arms and promise to protect us.
When Bloom and I come out of our visions, a man is in the back trapped in the fire, and outside, mom is crying as I hug her. Bloom finds the guy inside he was Brown and Bonner's driver. They get him out of the fire, Bloom goes back in to stop most of it and then the firemen come and put it out the rest of the way. We ask him what happened.... He comes clean about everything and promises to tell the police the whole story. That he's the one that started the fire, but how he got trapped by the flames and that we know it was Brown and Bonner who had put him up to it. He asked for our forgiveness to believe him when he tells us he's very sorry, and because Bloom and I can see his aura we understand how sorry he is.
At dinner that night we're talking about how now the shop can be bigger and that we can buy a new fancy alarm the best money can buy, but Bloom and I are still stuck on something, we mention to mom and dad that we saw them saving two different babies, that dad was saving one from a fire and that mom picked one up from the snow.
They look at each other. What? What is it? What it something we said? I give Bloom a worried look as I grab her hand. I think it's time we told you girls the truth Bloom and Farrah. The truth about what? Those babies you saw, that was 16 years ago. Those babies we saved were the two of you. Us? B-but - but what was I doing in a fire, and why was Farrah out in the snow? Bloom cried. I tried to cry, but my tears stuck to my face.
Our parents hugged us. We don't know girls, its a true miracle, the flames they didn't hurt you Bloom, they didn't go anywhere near you, you were alone but so calm. And outside it was snowing, and Farrah you and Farrah had barriers up protecting you, Farrah wasn't cold or shivering at all. And we knew then and there that you girls were very special.
Bloom and I cried and cried. Then that means we're not your daughters. Our mother *gasped* we were shocked and upset. We're adopted? You adopted us? Why didn't you ever tell us. We had every intention to tell you girls the truth when you were older and could understand but then Stella came and witches and magic and ogres, and you were off to Alfea and there was no more time, everything was so crazy.
But we always wanted to tell you girls the truth Bloom, Farrah we never wanted to keep anything from you. You two are the most special people in the word to us, and we love you just the same. We've never stopped loving you. And to us wheatear you're our real parents or not you're still the best.
When break is over and we all return back to our dorms I lay with Bloom on her bed with Snowball on my chest and Bloom petting Kiko. Our friends want us to cheer up that after all our parents still love us, biological or not, and that adopting a baby is one of the most selfless acts you can do.
But now Bloom and I have decided that what we do now is that now we need answers. We need to know the truth. Why the flames didn't hurt her, why I wasn't cold, who our real parents are, who we really are. No matter the pain, or the struggle or how difficult the journey ahead may be but we're doing it all together the two of us.
Besides what would you guys do if you were us? Wouldn't you want to know. But our friends don't want to see us suffer and we love that about them, but now we feel like we have to know that now we can never go back, we had to know the full truth and they promised to be with us every step of the way.
Really? You guys would do that for us? You have our word.... The word of the.... All: Winx!
Now that Bloom and I have decided to find out the truth, what answers lie ahead of us? What truth or rather "truth" will Bloom and I find? We're sure to find those answers at another trip to Cloud Tower, but now with Riven on the Trix side the Trix are up to their old tricks. Will we get real answers to the questions we seek or only be tricked by the Trix? And what of Mirta the nice witch? What will happen to us all?
