"Ugh I still cannot believe how you can bare to walk around with this thing on." Kikyo muttered, distaste clear in her voice. "This is old fashion, you are not allowed to wear something like this ever again!"

"Mm." Shine curtly replied. Not really interested in playing dress up and fiddling with beauty products, but she also couldn't refuse the woman. Besides, she was used to being treated like a doll— in a good way in this circumstances mayhap— even her currently taken off kimono was provided by Kikyo years ago.

Now in a new outfit specifically stitched for her by the orders of the madam, her nonchalant eyes that reflected listlessness stared into laser-like one, Kikyo's temporary sense of sight until her wounds, that was caused by Killua, would heal. The woman's palm hands pressed Shine's cheeks, her long fingernails careful not to cause harm to the little girl. "Lily dear, what took you so long?..." the woman started. "Do you know how long I've been itching to dress you up..." her tone was one close to a whimper, though it was clearly far from it. "So in your absence, I had Kalluto as a replacement! Aah even though he is a boy he's stature is just like you. A perfect clone of you, my dear!"

'Normal' people might think of her as a psychopath and maybe she is, however, this is how Kikyo Zoldyck— who was raised to be an assassin— shows her undeniable love for the girl. Though, Shine has always been one to struggle with identifying emotions and expressions. Feelings such as love is the most foreign to her.

"Oh, I apologize then for disappearing for quite a while." Shine replied stoically, blinking her eyes ones. "Kalluto have worked hard these years I was gone. I should give him a thing or two as a compensation."

"Oh no, dear! You do not have to do so. Kalluto enjoys every moments we spent together. His wardrobe being his favorite place nowadays!" Kikyo exclaimed with a clap of her hands.

"I see. Still though, it would be proper to have something prepare for him." Shine insisted.

Kikyo picked the girl up from the stool and placed her unto the bed and sat beside her. "My Lily haven't changed," the woman started caressing the girl's head. "You still have the attitude of repaying someone wether it is a small matter or not. I'm so glad that you finally came home."

Shine closed her eyes for a bit as Kikyo's hand motion continued when a ringing was heard. Kikyo retracted her hand to answer the call from her high-tech eyes, "Kil's friends have already arrived in the buttler's quarters?!? How could that be— hello?? Dear!?"

Kikyo stood up in a rush and sprinted outside the room. "Lily dear, come with me!" Shine followed suit behind the panicking mother, their speed were blurry to normal people's eyes, only proving that their agility is not one ordinary feat.

It didn't take too long for the two to arrive at the buttler's quarters. Although Kikyo may be impulsive at times, she is still a seasoned assassin. So as silent and cunning as a fox, both she and the young girl observed what is happening first and foremost where they are seen not by Goto, the head butler who's entertaining the guests as well as said guests.

"They're playing a game?..." the mother murmured with a hand on her chin. Gon and his friends seemed to be getting the upper hand from the looks of it, and Shine wondered why Gon's left eye wasn't so swollen anymore. Right after the game ended, with Gon being the victorious one, Killua entered the scene and his face lit up almost instantly the moment he saw his friends.

Shine eyed Kikyo who watched her son get along with the people he barely even knew of. Suddenly, the mother turned on her heels and began walking away. "let's go, Lily."

"Weren't you about to stop Killua from leaving?" The albino girl asked.

"...He'll return to us. For sure." Shine knows that Killua would definitely come running back to his family in the future, however, a small, barely noticeable, smile from Kikyo? This, she did not see coming.

"Now that Killua is safe with us, I'm suddenly getting worried about Shine-san." Gon uttered as he, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio took their time in getting to their destination at hand.

"Now that you've mentioned her..." Kurapika trailed off. "Did she tell any one of us where we could contact her? Or her whereabouts?" Leorio chipped in.

Killua and Gon shook their heads. "No, that girl is the secretive type. You won't know anything about her unless she reveals the information herself." Killua remarked casually.

"Well, anyhow, I'm sure we'll be able to reach her soon enough." Kurapika ended the topic with assurance. The four let the topic fade though curiosity never left their being.

The mail that the Zoldyck estate received from the Phantom troupe stated for Lily to meet them three days after they had sent the letter. The location and time was also specified. Shine's growing interest in the most dangerous group of criminal were increasing by each minutes that passed. It didn't take long for her to arrive at the location stated.

Shine's steps faded the moment she caught sight of the rumored phantom troupe. They feel familiar, her senses whispered.

"It is nice to see you again, Spider Lily."

Shine blinked. "Oh, it's you."

A/N: Yehey, I'm back! School has recently started and I'm planning on joining the theatre club so I will apologize in advance for the very long waits. Forget about my mental state and the vulnerability that I've showed, although I'm still stuck in that state I've decided to try my best to ignore and instead focus on getting high/highest grades in school. I know that my mental illness will only get worse but I'm tired of caring anymore. Anyways, it is what it is. Again, I apologize for not updating in so long, Thank you for your supports and enjoy reading!!!
