Chapter Seventeen - Caleb - At Ciera's

 I hung up with Ciera and grabbed my keys.

 "I'm going to Ciera's!" I yelled to my mother.

 "Nobody cares!" Yelled my sister in response. I smiled to myself and within minutes I was pulling into Ciera's driveway. Before I had even shut my door Darren was trying to drag me into the house, rambling on and on about God knows what.

 He finally let go of my arm when he realized he wasn't going to get anywhere by dragging me and ran into their kitchen. I chuckled, following him. Ciera stood up from her stool and hugged me. I could feel the energy radiating off of her.

 "So, what's this all about, again?" I asked, grabbing a pair of glasses from their cupboard and taking the chocolate milk Ciera handed to me. I smiled at how familiar the routine had become and poured us some milk, handing her glass to her and putting the milk back in the fridge. She wiped her milkstache off and smiled widely.

 "We got invited to be on television," I looked at her and quirked my brow.

 "What do you mean?
