Months had past since the night that Joseph came over for me. We'd spent the rest of spring break with him sleeping on my living room couch, and every day after that he came home with me and we did our homework together. Well, not really together- we didn't have any classes together, but he would do his Spanish and I would do my Chemistry. I managed to clean myself up and get a job, with much persuasion from Joseph. One night after work he came over to my house to watch the blood moon with me.
Joseph and I sat at my window, watching the shadow of the earth cover the moon. After what felt like three or four minutes he jabbed me in my side.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
"Yeah... Why?" I probed.
"You were sitting there like a statue for half an hour," he said, looking at me with curious eyes.
"I didn't realize," I mused, looking back at the orb in the sky. "I want it."
"The moon?"
"Yes."
"That'd be difficult," he murmured, brushing my curls away from my face and behind my ear.
"I don't care," I coo'd, gazing out at the moon. "It pulls at me like it pulls at the tide." I turned to him, looking into his eyes. He pulled me in, pulling at me just like the moon, and kissed me. For the first time in months, I kissed someone back.

Teen FictionThis is the story between two juveniles. A girl, Ciera, falls for a jock. Yes, it sounds EXTREMELY cliche. But if you read, you might find that it captures your heart in a way I never dreamed any of my work would.
