LUCILLE'S POV

“Look at that white trash. She’s dancing with Caleb. My Caleb,” I grumbled to Amanda. Ciera and Caleb were dancing, if you could call it that, and I was over there by myself, drinking myself into a terrible headache for the next day. I have to admit that though she still looked like trash, her dress was kind of cute. It was a cute, little, sparkly, silver number. Hmm, silver.

“Emily,” I whispered loudly to be heard above the music, “I have an idea.”

“Ladies, and gentleman it is time for me to announce your Homecoming King and-” The Dj started. I took the mic, interrupting him as a spotlight found Ciera and Caleb standing together in the crowd.

“Before anything else,” I began, trying not to let my voice slur, “We’d like to shine a light on these two. Caleb and Ciera. Aw, Ciera, you look so pretty. Like an actual girl for once.” I snickered as Emily and the others chuckled. “I’m surprised you’re even here. All of the attention was on you for the longest time, I half expected a news crew to show up.”

“Lucille, what are you d-” Caleb interrupted. He was never this rude before she came here.

“Shut it, sweetheart. Ciera, darling, congratulations on getting better before homecoming! Sadly, I’ve decided the night is over for you, but… Good Game!” As I finished speaking Emily, Amanda and some other girls that had grabbed the punch bowl, raised it over their heads, and dumped what was left of the punch on them. Ciera looked horrified as she pushed Caleb away from her and started running.

        Perfect.
