In Menagerie, everyone was having a bite to eat, catching up, that sort of thing. However, Jaune's scroll was constantly ringing and Sonic was the one calling. Eventually he sighed,.
"Blake, Weiss, Yang, i'm sorry, I gotta take this." Jaune comments, getting up
Jaune got up to answer the call and he stepped to the side, it was a video call with a projection from his scroll.
"What???? This better be important, I-" Jaune stars. "Are you skiing?"
"Snowboarding, actually. BUT I NEED YOUR HELP NOW!!!!" Sonic responds. "Life or death situation this very second! I need you to use the ring I gave you to save me. Like, right now!!!"
Slow down, slow down! I don't even know where you are!" Jaune responds
"You just gotta picture where you want the ring to go so PICTURE THIS!!!!!!!!" Sonic responds, the projection showing the bottom of the mountain in Atlas
Jaune pulled out the ring desperately, trying to get it right and he took a deep breath, imaging the bottom of the mountain and hurling the ring but it ended up bouncing off of a tree before opening a portal on the ground which everyone leaned over to look into.
"Snow my gods...." Yang muttered
"Really, Yang?" Weiss questions
As Sonic, Miles, adn the avalanche were approaching, Jaune rolled his eyes and said, "oh boy."
"INNNNNNCOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMIIIIING!!!!!" Sonic shouts
Everyone dove out of the way and the snow crashed down ont eh ground, knocking tables over as the portal closed and everyone climbed out.
"Anybody hurt??" Jaune asks, running over to Sonic when not seeing anyone hurt. "Sonic!"
"Sonic, are you okay there???" Ruby asks with concern
"I'm fine." Sonic grunts as he got up, covered in snow
"good..." Jaune said with relief. "BUT YOU'RE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE!!!!!!"
"okay, you, calm down." Ruby told her husband before lookign at Sonic. "And YOU, talk."
Blake's cat ears poked out of the snow and Yang pulled her out with relative ease.
"Okay, quick version: Robotnik is back on Remnant and he's after a magic emerald." Sonic explains. "We need to get it back or the world is DOOMED!"
Sonic noticed Miles was still out cold and he began digging through the snow to see if he was still okay.
"Wait, all this happened since YESTERDAY?!??" Ruby questions
However, miles was still unconscious and suddenly, a cord shot out and wrapped around Sonic, basically knocking him out cold from lack of aura and Jaune, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang all got in a circle, defensively aiming their own weapons at all the people who had their own weapons, looking like the weapons were from Atlas.
"Sis, Blake, why do all of your guests look like they're from a hidden division of the Ace Ops?" Ruby whispered
"I honestly have no idea." Yang responds
That's when there was a set of footsteps.
"You really should've taken Ozpin up on that letter offer to the blue fella there, Mr. and Mrs. Arc-Rose." A voice spoke
Everyone looked over and saw Ironwood of all people.
"Ironwood???" Jaune questions
"Everyone calm down, we're federal agents!" Ironwood spoke to quell panic from the people that weren't advanced undercover agents. "Seems everything of Operation: Cactus was a complete success."
"Operation Cactus??" yang questions. "how many people here area fucking agent anyways???" Yang questions
Then, sonic and Miles got locked up in laser cages and were starting to be carted away by the Ace ops who were part of this whole plan.
"Hey wait a minute!!!" Jaune shots, dropping everything and running over. "Hang on, buddy, i'm gonna get you out of here!!"
A physical fight started and it ended when some of the agents restrained Jaune.
"Sonic is not a threat, sir! He's on our side!!" Ruby comments
"He is an uncontrolled Faunus with an abnormal Semblance with capabilities that are considered lethal weapons and your days of aiding and abiding him are over." Ironwood responds before looking at teh agents holdign Sonic, Miles, and Jaune. "Secure them in the hotel until the evac airship arrives."
Weiss was entirely confused and even looked a bit offended. Despite being part of the Atlas military, she had no damn clue as to what was going on.
"hold on, asshole!" Yang snapped as Jaune, Sonic, and Miles were taken away. "this si still Blake and I's anniversary, so someone better tell me WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON BEFORE I BLOW YOUR DAMN HEAD OFF!!!!"
"After the events in San Fransisco, a global task force was created as a joint protection deal." Ironwood explains. "Devoted to protecting our planet from unusual threats beyond the handle capabilities of Huntsmen and Huntresses. That day, Guardians Units of Nations was born."
"G.U.N-seriously?!???? And worse yet, I literally have no involvement in that!" Weiss comments
"Well, what about protecting our planet from Dr. Robotnik?" Ruby questioned
Ironwood looked at Ruby and said, "Robotnik is dead."
"You're wrong! He's back and you just hauled away the only ones who can stop him." Ruby comments in response. "So either you let them go so they can stop him or our world is fucked more than it was when Salem was still around. Cause i've seen what Robotnik's capable of second hand and that man doesn't mess around. He can and will kill all who try to stop him without the abilities to pull off stopping him."
"And what are you gonna try to do that with?" Ironwood scoffed
Ruby puled otu the heavily upgraded Crescent Rose.
"Crescent Rose here has gotten a few upgrades since we last talked, general." Ruby stated. "now, it can blow off the head of anyone I choose with the push of a button so you better release the three you jusst arrested or you'll be the first one I do it to."
"You're gonna kill the general with that toy from a dollar store?" An agent scoffed. "Plllease, that looks like something off a sci-fi set. Most it'll do is brtuise him-"
Ruby shot a random chair and it crumbled to dust.
"NOW does it look like a toy??!?????" Ruby responds, near Yang levels of pissed
Ironwood dropped what he had and held his arms up defensively.
"W..We'll free them." Ironwood comments, fearing for his own life
