lesson 6: after the storm's confession

The stormed died down after a while, both families were in the living room eating dinner as the electricity came back on

Mrs. Hayashi and Auntie Higurashi were wondering what was taking the two teenagers forever to come downstairs

Auntie Higurashi sent kagome to go get Samiko and Raiden who were still up in her room with the door locked

Kagome ran up the stairs and knocked on the door loudly

"Samiko! Hayashi-Sama! Time for Dinner! The lights and water are back on! Come down stairs now!"

Samiko heard Kagome's voice and she pushed Raiden against the door hard which caused him to bump his head against the door

Her voice was shaky and her body was feeling very hot

"W-w-w-we're coming! Give us a second! I was helping him with his studies! W-w-we'll be d-down shortly!"

Kagome heard the nervousness in her cousin's voice and giggled

" We are going to be in the living room waiting for you two! We were worried but I see you were studying."

She ran down the stairs

Raiden rubbed the back of his head cutely and chuckled

"Class president, you were helping me with my studies? You do realize that we are at the same level when it comes to being at the top of class and studies?

I take it that was your first kiss? It was my first kiss too, you didn't need to bang my head against the door."

Samiko grabbed her bow and arrow and shot Raiden with it, only to hit her door

"I will make your life a living hell if this gets around school. Nobody can ever know about this!."

Raiden removed the arrow from the door and held it between his finger toying with it

"Class President, I do not kiss and tell. This is our secret. I am a demon that is awakening soon, My birthday is a mere three months away, that is when my awakening happens.

The red thread of fate between us can never be undone, we are forever bound even in death when the time comes.

We should head downstairs, president, we do not want to cause our family panic or sheer embarrassment of them questioning us about what happened."

He opened the door and headed downstairs walking to his family that was in the living room

He sat down next to his mom and ate the dinner was prepared and cooked

Samiko came down after him, she was seething as if she was plotting revenge which she was but remained calm because Raiden's family was in the presence of her family and she didn't want to cause a scene

She sat with her family and ate dinner with everyone

After dinner was finished, the Hayashi clan left thanking the Higurashi family for their warm hospitality during the storm and hoped to visit the shrine soon

Auntie Higurashi closed the door and locked it with a smile

"Samiko, Dear thank you for boarding the house even if you had to go outside to do it.

You saved the entire shrine. The old well house is completely safe from damage."

Samiko smiled

"Auntie it's ok, no need to thank me, I do what I can and besides if gramps tried he would have been blown away to another town, My duty is to protect our family. I am the next head of the shrine if anything happens to gramps.
