Tony's Pov:

"Home sweet home." Shuri said and I frowned. "What's wrong?" She asked...I'm worried about T'Challa but I know if I say that you'll say I like him.

"Nothing...I'm going to go look around." I said and she nodded. I went to my room and looked around then sighed seeing the flower still sitting in it's little vase. I sighed...I feel so useless here and like I'm just taking up space. Maybe I should leave...I looked out the window as the sun was setting...I need to see the garden at night first. I left my room and Nakia started to follow me. "Yes?" I asked.

"Just checking on you." She said and left me alone. I went out to the garden and sat on the bench watching the sun set. I watched as the sunlight faded and the sky changed to reds and oranges. After a while it finally became dark and I watched in amazement as some of the flowers glowed and the ones finally bloomed to show beautiful purples and blues.

"Told you."

"Ah!" I yelped and nearly fell off the bench but was caught. I looked up at T'Challa who looked apologetic.

"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you." He said and I swallowed moving back on to the bench, so he'd let go.

"It's ok." I said and scanned him. "You ok?" I asked.

"I'm alright...a few bruises." He said.

"What happened to...him?" I asked and T'Challa frowned.

"I...hesitated and he got away." T'Challa said.

"Hesitated?" I asked.

"To kill him." He said.

"It's ok to hesitate...that shit is something you have to live with forever." I said and he looked at me.

"I was surprised you were out here...Since you weren't yesterday." T'Challa said.

"Shuri kept me busy." I said and watched the little pond sparkling in the moonlight.

"Back in power and yet powerless." I looked at T'Challa confused. "Nothing." He said.

"No...what do you mean?" I asked.

"The tribe leaders are pushing me to bond some Omega woman I've never even met." T'Challa sighed.

"I thought this place was different." I said.

"It is...she's not being forced." T'Challa said. "Just wants to marry a king." He huffed.

"That's a really stupid reason to marry or bond with someone." I said and then raised a brow. "Plus you are a shit king." I said and he looked at me shocked. "You were in power for one day and lost the throne to an asshole." I said and he laughed.

"You are so blunt." T'Challa smiled.

"Well no sense in lying it doesn't do any good." I said.

"I guess." He said.

"You know you can sit down...I don't bi- nevermind I do bite but I won't bite you." I said and he gave me a curious look. "I bit Todd in the throat when he tried to cut off Shuri's finger." I said and he sat down next to me.

"Thank you." T'Challa said and looked at my hands. "You aren't missing fingers." He said making me tense and swallow.

"I'd have rather lost a finger." I said and he frowned looking at me...his eyes watching me as he tried to figure out what I meant.

"I was told you had a child." He said.

"He's dead." I said quickly and T'Challa froze eyes going wide in horror. "I'm pretty sure...Todd took him and I heard this...crack noise and it went quiet." I said and T'Challa was watching me. "So...quiet." I mumbled.
