Chapter 10 My Phoenix

T'Challa's Pov:

"T'Challa...we shouldn't stay here." Nakia said but I didn't move...I didn't have the strength to...My forehead still resting against Anthony's slowly cooling one...My helmet had folded away...I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...

"My King." Okoye said but I didn't respond...I had never...loved someone before...never felt this way...never felt so helplessly...I loved Nakia and my sister but not like this...Not like this...I froze when I heard the intake of breath...it crackling like fluid was in his lungs.

"Tony!?" Nakia asked and my head shot up as Tony let out a cough...blood coming out of his mouth. I got up fast realizing I needed to get him back now...He would not make it much longer and I wasn't about to test his strength. I ran...I ran and ran...I don't know why I ran...but I did...I ran all the way...All the way back...I ran into the lab making Shuri shoot up as I dropped.

"Shuri!?" I choked and she ran over...I watched her give Tony the shot and watched...waited...Come on...come on...

"Challa?" I choked as I let the emotions go...I felt the tears but didn't care.

"There you are...There you are." I cried and held him close cradling the Omega...I love you...I love you...never do that again.

"Brother...he probably needs rest." Shuri said and I nodded but didn't move as I watched Tony come back slowly.

"I'm...sorry." He said weakly and I shook my head.

"Not your fault...just...can you stay with me tonight?" I asked and the Omega coughed a little making my insides twist...My Alpha side screaming to protect...to hold.

"Yes." He said weakly and I nodded...I got up making my sister watch us worriedly. I carried Tony to my room and was so careful with him like he was made of glass. I got him comfortable in my bed and saw his eyes slip close...You rest. I tensed when someone knocked...The door opened and I let out a small growl.

"How...is he?" Nakia asked.

"Weak." I said and she gave a nod.

"Nakia..." I said and saw her look at me...I looked her in the eye. "Find him." I said and her eyes filled with anger.

"I will." She hissed and Okoye looked at me.

"Okoye...please stand guard tonight...If anyone comes up that isn't family tell them I'm busy." I said and she gave a nod...My door shut and I moved Tony carefully so I was between him and the door. I laid down a caressed his cheek...I almost lost you. I...I want you to be my bonded...I felt my eyes widen at the thought...Yeah...Yeah, I want to bond you...I want to be your Alpha. Please...let me be your Alpha. Mother showed up at some point just to check on Tony...Shuri did as well. I fell asleep at some point with the Omega in my arms...I was woken later...I blinked as my vision cleared...It was dark outside. I felt Tony move and moved so I could look at him...He was awake and froze when I looked at him.

"Sorry...I didn't mean to wake you." He said and I kept looking at him...My Omega...I mean...not yet but...

"How are you feeling?" I asked softly caressing his cheek making the Omega blink.

"I'm...ok." He said and I hummed. "Are...you?" He asked looking confused.

"I'm not the one who..." I trailed off and frowned.

"I'm ok." He said and I nuzzled his forehead.

"Can...Can I be with you?" I asked and he looked more confused.

"You are." He said and I chuckled.

"No...can I bond you?" I asked and he sucked in a breath as his eyes went wide. "Can I be your Alpha?" I asked.
