Jungkooks P.O.V:

We sat down on a bench across the street, after Tae and Jimin finally let us go.

"Soo..." I said as I nervosly looked at her.
She just looked down at the ground.

"Jungkook..."

I interrupted her "Listen, i'm so sorry. I didn't want you to find out this way. I actually didn't want you to find out...
I was just hoping my feelings would go away, but I waited so long and they never did".
I was on the verge of crying.

"So long? How long?" She looked at me.

I looked at the ground "Why do you think I had to ask you for your number a whole year later?"

Flashback

The award show was done and now, everyone was walking along the red carpet, on their way back to their cars.

I couldn't find her. I saw her accepting her award, but then she just disappeared. I asked jin Hyung to help me, and he did.

"Isn't that her?" He said, and before I could answer, I ran up to her car, which she was about to enter and stopped her.

"Y/N...."

"Oh, hey Jungkook. How have you been?" She gave me the biggest hug.

"I'm kind of in a rush, but I was hoping to get your number. Maybe we could get to know each other?" I was so nervous, and she could tell.

"Of course" i handed her the phone and she saved her oen number "Please call me, Kook" She said and got into the car

"She called me Kook..."

End of flashback

She looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"There's something i need to tell you".

I was terrified "What is it?"

"Please don't hate me.... I had a boyfriend, and we kinda broke up a few weeks befire my comeback".

Now I was crying...
"Y-you did? Why didn't you tell me?"

"I'm so sorry, but I wasn't sure it was serious, but then it got serious, but then I was afraid that if I told you, he would find out you're my best friend, and then he wouldn't let me talk to you..."

"Why wouldn't he let you talk to me?"

She looked at me, as if she just realized what she said. "Forget it. We should go back inside".

Before I could say anything, she got up and rushed back to the café
