I was woken up by feathery light kisses trailing down my abdomen. I smiled lazily, gripping his hair before he could trail any lower.

"And you said I was the greedy one," I joked, opening my eyes to see Charlie looking up at me sheepishly.

"I'm just trying to wake you up for dinner," He kissed me tenderly, "But if you're ready for another round..."

I threw a pillow on his head and threw one back. Soon, we were fully engaged in a pillow fight, laughing so hard our stomachs hurt. The first knock on my door went unnoticed between our fit of hysterics.

"Della?" Neil knocked again, "I can hear you in there."

"Shit," I cursed, running up to grab my clothes which were thrown around haphazardly. "Put a shirt on, Lee!"

He leisurely spread himself on my bed instead, following my hopeless attempt to find my skirt. "Never thought I'd see the day you cursed so nonchalantly, all thanks to me."

He patted himself and I snarled at him. He laughed and stood up, bending down my bed and taking my skirt out like some magician. He made an aha sound and presented the clothing to me. I flicked his forehead and jumped up into my skirt.

Another knock, "Did I do something to make you mad? I can hear you shuffling in there, but you're ignoring me."

"No, no!" I yelled, tripping on Charlie's shirt. I thrust it into his hand. "I just took a bath, I'll be out in a second!"

"Bath at 8 P.M.?"

I shrugged at Charlie who was cackling at the whole exchange, "You know how weird I can be," I forced a laugh.

"Go, go, go," I frantically whispered and pointed to my bathroom and thankfully, Charlie obliged. I picked up a dry towel and wrapped it around my head.

"Hey!" I instantly regretted the high pitched jovial tone my voice had adapted, "What's up?"

"Uh, are you..." He peeked behind me, and I shut the door quickly, forcing both of us out. "Cameron came by earlier to tell you about the study group we had today. He said he heard some strange noises from your dorm, and I haven't seen you all day since our lectures ended. Is everything okay?"

I pursed my lips together, struggling to keep my composure. Noises? He surely didn't hear me and Charlie... I shut the thought out to obsess over another time. Right now, I had a concerned brother to deal with.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," My answer came out in a squeak, and I cleared my throat. "I was just busy studying. I was probably reading aloud when he was here, hence the noise."

"Your face is all blotchy."

"Gee, thanks."

"No, I mean, you just had a bath but you look worn out," He observed me closely. "What's this?"

He pointed to a bright red hickey on my neck. Shit. I unwrapped the towel in my head, furiously covering my neck.

"I burnt myself while curling my hair," I lied.

"But your hair is the same as usual..." He prodded, "Why did you wrap your hair in a towel when it's not even wet? Are you sure you're okay?"

"I curled my hair and it didn't look too good so I shampooed it off," I gritted my teeth, the boy was too observant for my liking. "And I took another bath right now. This headwrap has been here for about an hour, I forgot to take it off."

I was almost impressed with myself. I couldn't even lie about candy bars back home but now I was building up whole stories like it wasn't a big deal.

"Okay then, if you're sure," He didn't sound convinced, but it wasn't like he suspected that I was sleeping with his best friend. It was neutral ground, good enough.
