TW: mentions of bullying and transphobia, swearing

---

A feeling of uneasiness enshrouded Robin as he sat, unable to look at the other boy. He felt his piercing gaze on the top of his head, it was like it was burning a hole into it. Not wanting to interact or play into Oliver's ploy or entertainment, he collected his stuff in silence, hoping that the intimidator would leave him be, just this once. Obviously he didn't. It's not that easy. At least not for Robin.

"Where are you going? There's still like 20 minutes until lunch is over," Oliver smirked, "That means there's 20 minutes for us to have a lovely... talk." That never meant an actual discussion. It either meant that he was going to say his usual rude remarks, or, if he's feeling more snarky than the average, he might even beat you up. But that factor was highly uncommon in Robin's sense.

"I have to go." Robin stuttered, not willing to stay any longer as he didn't want to deal with any more transphobic comments from Oliver or his 'mates'. He stood up and stepped to the side, preparing his escape from the uneasy situation.

It all happened so quickly, one second he was about to walk off, the next he was sat, back against the tree once again. All the air left in his lungs felt as if they'd been sucked out.

"I said we had 20 minutes to have a talk, mate. You're not going anywhere."  The sinking feeling of dread worsened. They were in a secluded area of the field, where it was highly unlikely for someone like another student or teacher would be able to hear or see the conflict currently going on. He harshly grabbed Robin's collar and thrusted him forward, so that he was closer and pretty much face to face with himself.

"You're pathetic, I can't believe the school support your stupid little phase." Robin closed his eyes and turned his head slightly away, preparing himself for the worst.

That was until he felt the grip on his collar lessen and he dropped down onto his knees and hands. Opening his eyes, he looked up to see Damien had dragged Oliver back.

"Piss off Oliver, he clearly doesn't want to have that talk of yours." The look in his eyes was different. He was clearly aggravated yet he was calm. Oliver looked back at Robin before scoffing and walking off mumbling something incoherent to himself. Robin's saviour turned around and rushed towards him.

"Are you ok? Oliver's such a dick, I'm glad I noticed something was off." He rested his hands on both sides of Robin's face, scanning it for any injuries. Robin's cheeks flushed,

"I'm fine. How did you... How did you know?" Damien's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"How did I know what?" Robin shook his head slightly, he wrapped one of his hands around Damien's wrist loosely,
"How did you know what was going on... Between me and Oliver... Just now..." The lightly freckled boy slightly caressed the other's cheek with his thumb.

"I saw you two whilst I was playing footy with the others. Knowing how Oliver is, I thought it was best to check up on you," He paused before pulling his hands away, cheeks flushing in embarrassment.

"Uh- You're ok though, right?" He stood up, brushing his hair back.

"Yeah... I'm fine." Standing up, Robin instinctively brushed down his blazer. Silence surrounded them. The only sounds were the voices in the distance and the wind that danced around them. The slightly longer haired boy picked his bag up off of the floor, slinging it onto his back.

"I should go... My friends are probably wondering where I am." Hesitantly, he walked away. Leaving the taller one behind.
