CHAPTER 5

When I opened my eyes I kicked as hard as I could and tried to swim up. I barely had any strength. As I finally got up I heard Jake calling my name.

I quickly found where he was and tried to swim there. His eyes held relief once he saw me. He held out on hand.

"Grab on!" Jake yelled out. I quickly connected my wet cold hand with his. He tried his hardest to pull me up and i felt my hand beginning to slip.

He finally managed to pull me up with him after a little more time. Just in time as the current picked up. We painted as we finally made it out. We heard a roar again.

The animal was trying to decide whether or not to come after us. It picked no. What a relief. Jake quickly found a stick that he quickly used to make into a spear.

"We're so screwed."

Jake sighed at that, knowing it was true. I think he felt guilty.

"It's not your fault y'know." I said giving him a small smile. We began to walk together ready and prepared for anything. I suddenly stopped I felt as if someone was watching me. I acted as if nothing happened but from the corner of my eye I saw a na'vi.

She was beyond gorgeous. And she also had her bow aiming right at Jake I think she hasn't noticed me yet I could use this to my advantage.

I was getting ready to try and fight but then a sign came to me. It went on my nose as I looked at her from the corner of my eyes I saw the same happened to her.

I wouldn't try anything today. Neither would she.

I saw her put her bow down and leave. Before I knew it, it was night. Jake had found something resembling honey to dip his makeshift spear in. I began to hear noises.

"Viper wolfs." I whispered to jake. "Get in the trees."

We quickly got to a tree and got in it ready to hurt anything that tried us. We saw a pack running along under us they seemed to have been tracking us.

They began to leave Jake being the idiot he was dropped the spear. I pulled him back as it fell to hide us. It seemed to work.

I felt eyes watching us again this time I knew she saw me so I turned to look in the direction I heard a sound come from and there she was blending in easily. She seemed surprised I saw her. I winked at her and her face grew purple.

Jake saw where I was looking and saw her too. Once she saw him looking at her she got her bow out ready to shoot him. But then she put it back slowly as if she remembered something.

"Who's she" he whispered to me, as he eyed her.

"Neytiri daughter of the clan leader, Eytukan" I whispered to him.
