Chapter 31

In the distance, the sound of buildings and explosions could be heard from afar. Light beamed shone from the rooftops, looking like a rave party. Yuta and (Y/n) stood back to back, cornered by two opponents who left scars on their bodies. (Y/n)'s giant shuriken was destroyed, due to blocking the multiple beams from his opponent, while Yuta's arm is completely burnt.

"Come, Rika. All of you" Yuta called out as he held up his hand, his ring gleaming from the sun rays. On cue, a curse appeared next to (Y/n), causing the male to jump away. "Yuta. Which one do you want?" Rika had asked as she opened her chest, revealing tons of cursed tools. "(Y/n)" Yuta called to him, as he tossed him a cursed tool, a sword to be more precise.

With a nod (Y/n) jumped from his spot, aiming straight for the floating woman. "Me first? Don't underestimate me!!" The woman exclaimed, only to realize their plan too late. "Don't move" Yuta commanded, as Toge's cursed marks rested on his face, forcing the female to sit still. Taking the opportunity, Yuta and (Y/n) punched the front and back of her.

"Oi, oi!" The male opponent, who fought (Y/n), shouted from the rooftop. (Y/n) quickly pushed Yuta out of the way as he took on the full force of the blast. The male's eyes widened as a sword sliced at his face, which he barely dodged, only to be kicked in the stomach, sending him backward. Meanwhile, Yuta ran at the female, sending his attacks at her, and eventually they cornered the two opponents into a corner.

"Domain expansion!" Yuta and their two opponents exclaimed, while (Y/n)'s eyes widen in shock. Before the domain could complete, it had collapsed, all thanks to a third opponent, the cockroach curse. Unfortunately, the female was too distracted by the cockroach spirit to avoid Yuta's attack. Sending her falling forward towards the cursed spirit, who chomped off her arm.

"That's enough Uro, you haven't been invited to the meal" the male announced as he send an attack on his partner. Thus, sending her into a building and out of commission. The cursed spirit was somehow still alive, despite half its body being destroyed, only to be completely destroyed by (Y/n)'s curse sword, leaving only the male opponent standing.

Without any hesitation, they were battling again, as the male opponent blasted a beam toward the duo. Yuta had blocked the attack, while (Y/n) ran right at the opponent. "Rika" Yuta called out, which prompted Rika to shoot a beam of her own, hoping to distract the opponent from (Y/n). But, they did not anticipate him to block it and send a close-range attack at (Y/n).

"You bastard!!" Yuta screamed as he punched the opponent in the chest, while Rika punched the top of the male's head. Sadly, 5 minutes had ended, prompting Rika to slowly melt back into a portal. Thinking he had the upper hand, the opponent goes to punch Yuta, only to receive a punch to the face from Rika.

Yuta sent his own barrage of attacks, each punch or kick his intent to defeat him climbed. Then, Yuta held the male down, as something fell towards the opponent. In an instant, the male's body was engulfed in ice, immobilizing him completely, while (Y/n) stood atop his chest, keeping him pinned to the ground.

"(Y/n)! You're alright! I'm so glad..." Yuta said with a look of relief, desperately wanting to hug him. (Y/n) slumped to the floor, tired out from the battle. "You're not going to kill me?" The male asked from the ground, expecting to be killed once he was taken down. "Negative, unless you refuse to give us your points" (Y/n) informed while pointing to Yuta.

"Woah, hey now, let's not be hasty, we're not killing anyone," Yuta said frantically, greatly against killing the male. "What are you talking about? Is that even a rule?" The male muttered to himself. "Rule 10, players may transfer several points of their choosing to another player" the cursed spirit, used as a radio, informed the male.

"I see... That's how it is, if it wasn't for this, you both would've killed us, huh?" The male asked in realization. "Possibly... You should thank our friends" (Y/n) responded while looking away from him, while Yuta chuckled. With that, Yuta and (Y/n) received 100 points each, which will allow them to stay in the Culling Game without worry.
