(Discontinued) Haku x Reader The sky's not the limit

Part 11

I suddenly broke into a full sprint, Haku grabbed onto my torso tightly to prevent himself from falling whilst Lin fell off my back entirely, screaming our names. But I didn't worry, we weren't far from the bathhouse anyway. I came out of the forest, running into the clearing and dashing to the bathhouse. Out of nowhere, a pink and brown figure jumped in front of me, forcing me to halt, but instead of staying planted on the ground, I was flung into the air along with Haku. Luckily we landed on a soft patch of land, we tumbled along eventually stopping but landing in an awkward position. Haku was facing forwards to me, on his hands and knees and an inch from my face.

My face exploded, turning into a deep shade of red as Haku rolled to the side, I could off sworn that I saw a hint of red on his cute little face as well. Out of nowhere, we burst into a laughing fit in the field of flowers, a dark shadow looming over us.

"Seriously Haruka, I can't believe that you just left me like that! You seriously didn't think that you could get away with it, did you?" Lin was standing there, crossing her arms but with a wide smirk planted on her face.

" So how was the little 'trip' with Haku? You guys came awfully close to each other's faces you know"

I rolled my eyes and closed them, breathing in the sweet scent of the flowers surrounding me. "Pshh, whatever. I'm gonna go to the bathhouse, losers." She walked away, her footsteps faded in a matter of seconds. A hand brushed across my cheek but I didn't open my eyes, instead, I let Haku caress it as I slowly felt drowsiness take over my body.

3rd POV

The green grass waved around along with the wind, the various colors of the flowers mixing together to create a large paint palate. Messy yet beautiful at the same time. Two figures had nodded off in the middle of the field, an arm was acting as a pillow for the shorter of the two, not that the green-haired lizard minded.

Their breathing was synchronized, chests going up and down together. The sky was starting to turn dark, the shades of dark blue and black engulfing the colors that the sun produced, another show was approaching the two, holding a large bucket of cold water.
