Remus sighed, pulling again at the bindings that held his wrists tightly to the chair. The chair itself was plush and comfortable, but the rope had rubbed his wrists raw, and he knew that they would be sore for days once he managed to get out of there. If he managed to get out of there.
He hadn't seen many people since he had been taken. The only people were his two guards- the one who had taken him the first day and another who she switched off with- and a woman with short cut hair that came in to bring him food. Through his time he had learned that the woman who was his main guard was named Raven, and Jasper was the other. The other woman's name was Reina.
Reina was much kinder than the other two, but was seemingly quite detached. Her hands were gentle, free of the callouses that someone who handled weapons often would have, but there was a distant look in her eyes that made Remus wonder what she was always thinking about. She seemed to be more in her head than in reality. Reina never talked, and once she was done with what she had to do she would immediately leave.
Raven, on the other hand, was much harsher. She still had that confidence from the day he was captured, and he hated to admit that she wore it well. He admired the confidence as much as it inconvenienced him. Raven brushed off any questions about what was going to happen with ease, her harsh smile always as sharp as a knife. There was a certain charm to her, but it certainly wasn't shown to him.
Jasper, however, was much easier to push. They were clearly a more nervous guard, always glancing at Remus when they thought he wasn't looking. They were much more fidgety, and lacked the confidence that Raven displayed. Jasper was also how Remus had found out all of their names. With a little extra pushing they could be gotten to talk, even if most of the time it was more of a nervous stream of words than a conversation.
Today was not a very eventful day. He had been given his normal food and water for breakfast, and now he was once again just left to sit there. It gave him plenty of time to try to think of ways to escape, but so far none of his attempts had been very fruitful. Logan had clearly gone to great lengths to keep him trapped inside of the room, even going as far as putting bars on the windows. There would be no escape for him as long as he was still locked inside of the room.
The sound of a ringtone jolted him out of his thoughts, and he looked over to see Raven picking up a phone call. There was a quiet conversation, and she kept glancing at him throughout the whole thing. The conversation lasted only a few minutes before she hung up again.
"Good news, Intrusivity." The tone of her voice meant this would be very bad news for him. "There have been some new developments. You'll get to see Logic later today."
Very bad news indeed.

"Alright runaways, we're here," Remy announced. Roman had lost track of time while they were driving, but the figures it must have been somewhere around midday. "Welcome to the home of the Talon Smoke gang."
"We're not supposed to call it that, Remy," Lucas scolded. "Remember what Logic said? We have to call it organized crime. It sounds more professional that way."
"Sure it does." Remy rolled his eyes. "Anyway, we're here now, and it's time to actually turn you in. It's been a lovely time chasing you two, except for the fact that I had to deal with Lucas this entire time. Other than that I've had a blast. I'd say we should do this again sometime, but I've gotten in enough trouble for fraternizing with the enemy already."
The sun was almost blinding when they exited the car. They were quickly ushered into what looked like some sort of office building seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The main lobby was plush, and a few of what Roman assumed were other employees stared as they were lead on further into the building.
They stopped in front of a dark mahogany door, and Remy turned to face them with a fiendish smile.
"Well, it's time to meet the big man in charge."
