"Are you sure? This is crucial, Angel!"
I took a deep breath to keep myself from punching a hole in the wall. Seeing a red (that's how I call a person who's eyes turn red) was bad enough, and now they don't believe me!
"Do you really think, I would joke about this? I know how important this is! If I didn't know you any better, I would start to think you don't trust me!"
Tony sighed and rolled his eyes. Shit, I thought to myself. There we go again...
"You know I do, Angel. Not too long ago, you would have cried if you found yourself in a conversation like this. But I must say, you have truly earned my respect and trust. But this is different. This was just a guy, walking past the window you just happened to look through. We can't track him down and beat him up for nothing!"
I felt anger rising inside me. Normally, I would have said it wasn't true. That I would t have cried. But I know I would. Not anymore. I'm a whole different person now. Maybe Tony needs to be reminded.
"I know. But first of all, I am a whole different person. The girl who cried about everything is gone. Dead, you could say. Hydra took care of that. I am better now, stronger. So don't bullshit me! I know what I saw, and I trust the feeling in my gut. You thought me to trust that! And second, I didn't say we need to track this guy down and beat him up! I only said we have to be more careful! That couldn't hurt, could it?"
I looked at the rest of the team for backup, but most of them seemed to agree with Tony. Hesitating, Sophie took a step forward.
"I'm sorry, Angel. I really am. But I have to go with Tony on this one. You are really overreacting! Maybe he was wearing lenses, and the sunlight reflected in a weird way! You don't know anything about this guy! You're not even sure it's a guy!"
"That's why I have a weird feeling about him! The fact I'm not even sure he's human!"
Now, Sophie simply raised her eyebrow. I lost my patience. I slammed my hand on the table, leaving a slightly smoking burn mark behind. Great. Now I couldn't even control myself anymore.
"Damn it! If you don't want to believe me, than that's you're choice. But all I'm saying is we should be careful. Look for anything suspicious. But I'm clearly overreacting."
I stood up and left the meeting room. I have been arguing with Tony for quite some time now. He's working on a project. He calls it Ultron. It's a sort of robot, who's supposed to do our work. I don't like the idea of it. It doesn't feel right. I walked on to my room. Once I was there, I grabbed the M-box Tony gave me two years back. I still don't know why it's triangular, but I love it anyway. I put in my earplugs and grab my keys. I take the stairs down to the garage, and get into my car. I passed my test about a year ago, and bought a car from my savings. S.H.I.E.L.D. pays quite a lot to agents with my level of classification. I drive back to the orphanage I've been, and then on to my house. It's actually my parents, but since they died, it belongs to me now. After looking at the building for some time, I decide to go back. When I'm about to make a turn, the air around me changes, like a sort of ... Bubble. The next thing I know, is I'm in a garden. The garden of a really big mansion. There's no one in the garden, but I suppose there'll be some kind of security soon. The person who ones this mansion must be really rich, and he or she probably doesn't like strangers suddenly appearing in the garden. With a car. And I'm right. Within two minutes, I'm surrounded by people. But there not security guards. One of them looks like a boy of my age. There's a girl, or woman with white hair and a cape, and a guy who looks like he's really grumpy. He has a huge cigar in the corner of his mouth. There are three weird looking knifes coming out of each hand. I just stand there, looking amazed. They don't do anything. Probably because they don't know if I'm a threat or not. A few seconds later, a hold guy in a wheelchair approaches me. His eyes turn blue, and I relax.
"Hello, Angel. My name is Charles. Welcome to my school for gifted youngsters."
