MYSTIC FALLS WAS FOR once a busy city, everybody seemed to be in a hectic rush which could have been comparable to a one-night-before-christmas night, although not cassiopeia.
to her, this was just another normal late evening, even though she knew it wasn't for mystic falls' citizens. which is why she hated being in the unknown, and as she burst into the flat.
"nik — oh. stefan? caroline? what're you two doing here?" she greeted the two scooby gang members in confusion.
"well, we left the others since stefan had a dramatic fallout with elena, and i decided to tag along because —" caroline began explaining.
"wait, wait, wait — hold on, stefan had a fallout with elena?" the silver and green eyed gift bearer echoed in disbelief, as her eyes flew to stefan, "goodness gracious... what happened while i wasn't there?"
caroline gulped. "a lot of, uh, things... short story, stefan and i aren't with the scooby gang anymore, and now he's kind of homeless... and damon has gotten bit by tyler, which means stefan's going to do a stupid thing and try to make a deal with klaus. oh, and also — elena, bonnie and damon might hate you now." she summarised what had been going on for the past days swiftly.
cassiopeia lifted an eyebrow. "jesus, what made you change your mind about the scooby gang? actually, just screw that — what kind of deal do you want with klaus? i assure you, he probably doesn't want to go on bunny diets with you."
stefan cleared his throat. "first of all — elena was getting on my nerves by being... well, her. second of all, damon's gotten himself tyler's bite as caroline said before, and although i might loathe him at my best moments, he's still my brother. my family, my responsibility. right? so where is klaus?"
"sacrificing a doppelgänger today. probably. it's a busy night anyway."
"wait a second, what?"
"did the two of you seriously not know? elena's agreed with your big, bad hybrid dick to hand herself over if he doesn't hurt her friends in the process. and that sacrifice night? well, that would be precisely... now."
"oh my god, stefan! did we just seriously forget that? god! i'm the worst friend ever..."
