POV: Roger
The Zephyrs had taken me on in ― let's call it a probationary status. That was okay. What was really worrying me was the Alexandroffs were on their way here to get Julie and on top of that, they'd probably recognize me and out me to the Zephyrs.
When the panel truck pulled up outside, I was certain it would be the Alexandroffs; so, I put on my sunglasses, messed up my hair and tried to stay out of sight. I went over to Julie and whispered," Everything is going to be okay." Even though I had my doubts. I had to reassure her.
She smiled and whispered back, "This time you're really sure?"
I did not recognize any of the people who came through the door. There were three guys and two prisoners. The lead guy was called Boris and he and Zane seemed to know each other.
"What's going on, Boris?
"That is what I'd like to know. Zane, are you trying to cut me out of that computer scam we discussed?"
"What are you talking about, Boris?
"I'm talking about John Galt. I know you met with him," Boris growled.
"Who is John Galt?" Zane was legitimately puzzled.
