POV: John
So, Roger left me here without provisions and having to take my bathroom breaks in the woods. I was glad to see he had worked his way into the kidnappers' confidence, but now I was left without back up here in the woods as I kept an eye on the kidnappers' cabin. I decided to give Lupin a call and see if he'd be willing to join me. He sounded more than excited at the prospect. He said he'd call me when he got to my car on 50 and I could guide him from there to the stake out.
When he got to my car he was as paranoid as ever. He was certain he had been followed. I didn't think too much about it. Lupin always thinks he is being followed. This time he was right. But neither of us would have ever guessed who had followed him.
