"Here you go, guys. Protein recovery bars." Chase said, handing out the bars to students who were in the cafe in front of the training area.

"Ugh! Again?" Bob asked.

"Yes, again. Would you like to complain more about the free food, Bob? Mr. Davenport made them to maximize our workouts. They have everything the body needs." Chase explained.

"Yeah, to make you puke. I'm gonna hold out until the 3:00 peanuts." Spin said.

"Luckily for me, I'm bionic, so I don't have a gag reflex." Adam said.

"You're all bionic, and yes, you do." Jodie said.

"No, I don't." Adam said with his motuh full, then he gagged and spat out the protein bar. "Ooh! Yes, I do." He continued.

"Ooh. What's that?" Spin asked as Leo walked in holding a box.

"Oh, this? It's just a little care package my mom sent out for all of us. Oh, wait. Nope, it's just for me and Jo." Leo said.

They all heard a loud squirting sound, making everyone look over at Bob. "Oh, it's uh, easier for me to swallow if I pretend it's a hamburger. Which is tough, because I don't even know what a hamburger is." Bob explained, eating the protein bar.

"Wait, you've never had a hamburger? That's so sad!" Bree said.

"You wanna cheer me up by giving me a hug?" Bob asked.

"That's so sad!" Bree said again, then turned to the other four. "Guys, these kids have no social skills because they've been completely isolated from the real world. They have no idea what it's like to be normal." Bree said.

"Ah, yes. I remember your first days out of the lab. So young, so naïve. You needed strong hands to guide you." Leo said, gesturing between himself and Jodie.

"Yeah. But all we got was you two. These kids deserve a taste of the real world." Bree said.

"Well, we just got some food from the real world. You guys are welcome to... wait, nope. No, it's just for us." Leo said. Spin then used his rapid gyration to steal Leo's jar of peanut butter.

"What was that?" Jodie asked.

"No idea." Spin answered, his face covered in peanut butter.

Bob then dragged the protein bar across Spin's peanut butter face and ate it. "Mm. Better." Bob said.

"Hey, Mr. Davenport. We've been talking, and we wanna take the students on a field trip." Chase said as he and the other three walked up to Donald, who was in the common area.

"Great! Where do you wanna take 'em? Uh, living quarters? The kitchen? That rock on the other side of the island?" Donald asked.

"Come on, you know what we mean." Jodie said.

Donald sighed. "Forget it. They're not ready to socialize with the general population yet." Donald said.

"Well, yeah, but neither is Adam, and we still let him out of his cage." Chase reasoned.

"Stop talking about me like I'm an animal. Hey, I'm hungry. Is it almost feeding time?" Adam asked.

"Wait, but what is the big deal? It's not like these kids are a secret. The whole world knows they exist." Bree said.

"Look, I told the president we would turn them into the next generation of bionic heroes. We can't take any chances until their training is complete." Donald said.

"But shouldn't their training include real-world experiences? I mean, if you hadn't let us go to Mission Creek High, we'd still be clueless shut-ins." Chase said.
