"Jo?" His bionic hearing allowed him to hear when Jodie's heart stopped; her body stilled but her eyes remained a bright blue. "Jo?" Chase's voice trembled while he held the love of his life in his arms, their hands still laced together. Seconds later, he watched as the superhuman's eyes returned to their normal blue color, except they were now dull and lifeless. "Jo!"

Jodie gasped as she sat up, her breathing coming out quick and heavy.

It had only been three weeks since their team had broken up, only three weeks since Bree and Chase had left for Centium City, and she still couldn't sleep without having that dream. Every time she would close her eyes, she'd see Chase's glow a bright blue.

Her hand flew up to her head, eyes squeezing shut as another headache came on.

Looking at the time on her watch, Jodie scrambled out of bed. If her timing was right, Douglas shouldn't be leaving the island for another hour... she hoped. Quickly, she changed before teleporting throughout the island, hoping to find Douglas.

And after a quick search, she found the man just as he was about to get on the hydraloop. "Douglas."

"Ah! Kid, I thought you'd still be sleeping. If I remember correctly, you said you'd be on your much needed week-long nap." Douglas said.

Jodie swallowed hard, shaking her head. "I need your help."

Douglas sighed, waving the superhuman off as he got on the hydraloop. "I know they're not the best, but Adam and Leo can help you run the island."

"Douglas!" Jodie warned, using her magic to stop the doors from closing, her eyes flashing in warning. "I need your help."

An hour later, Jodie was sitting in the training area while Douglas worked at a desk. "And how long did you say these... dreams started?"

Jodie winced. "They just started recently." She answered, lightly shaking her head, trying to shake away the image of her lifeless body in her boyfriend's arms.

"Are you sure it's not just because you're worried about Chase being away? I know you two were basically attached at the hip." Douglas wondered, giving the superhuman a look. "It could also be your body trying to deal with stress-"

"It's not!" Jodie yelled, wincing when she felt her magic form in her hands. Slowly, she took a deep breath. "I'm sorry... I just- Douglas, something is wrong with me."

"Jo..."

"These... dreams. They feel real. Like I've lived it before. It almost feels like a premonition." Jodie explained.

"And you're sure you haven't been watching too many horror movies?" The man asked. Jodie silently shook her head, gaze dropping to her hands. "Tell me about the dreams."

"What, are you my therapist now?" Jodie snorted.

"I'm just trying to understand it. Maybe there's something in these dreams that can help us out." Douglas answered, giving the superhuman a look.

"Fine." The brunette sighed. "They all start the same, with Davenport talking to me about my headaches and something about too much energy. And eventually the conversation turns to him telling me that I basically have like three weeks to live and he warns me not to use my powers cause they'd hurt me." Jodie felt her hands start to shake. "Then it turns to me hanging out with Ads and Lee, then with Bree, and then Chase. And they always end the same; with me giving my powers to Chase and me... dying in his arms." She finished explaining, quickly rubbing at her eyes.

Douglas nodded, giving Jodie a thoughtful look. "How long have you had the headaches?"

"What?" Jodie blinked.
