♡First Impressions♡

"Hmm, Callie's Cat Cafe.. where is it again? I'm so lost- I thought it'd be cool to check out but finding it is such a burden-"

I sigh. C'mon Y/N pull yourself together! This is supposed to be your day off, you got this! I look around a bit more before finally spotting it. I hum and skip inside absolutely famished. It's been too long since I went out to eat somewhere, and this is my first time in a cat cafe so this should be interesting! As soon as the door fully opens a bell jingles, signaling that I've entered the cute cafe. 

"Good morning! Welcome to Callie's Cat Cafe! It's so nice to meet you my name is Callie! You're Y/N L/N right? You're here for the 11:30 brunch? We have a table prepared for you! It isn't too busy today, so make yourself comfy!"

A young girl, possibly early 20's, had walked to the front of the cafe with a bounce in her step. She was cheery and quite polite, giving the place a nice atmosphere. Callie led me to my table, and I sat down taking in my surroundings. It was so peaceful here I truly picked a good spot to have a meal. Callie handed me my menu with a smile and then left to go clean up the front counter. I hummed and flipped through the short menu, my eyes brightening at the different sweets and meals. I decided to pick out f/f, since I hadn't had it in a while. Soon Callie had come back to take my order, and left just as soon as she'd arrived. 

While waiting for my food, I look around the room taking in every detail. There were cats everywhere. Some fluffy, others slim, there was even a very large cat that seemed to be in charge. There were couches against the walls, a few nice rugs on the ground, and cat toys as well as posts littered everywhere for the cats to play and sleep. In the corner I saw a small group of friends playing with a few of the smaller cats. 

The first friend was a shorter hispanic with shaggy black hair, glasses, and a fun loving attitude. She was wearing a pink tank top with a demi girl pin tacked to the front, jeans, white boots,  and a teal hoodie draped around their waste.

The second one of the group was the shortest of the group, she was an Asian -American with long brown hair and a feisty personality. She wore a green sweater with black leggings. She was just sitting on the couch on her phone, not very interested in the cats. Perhaps she was a dog person?

The final friend of the group was a bit taller than the other two, but not by much. They were caucasian with short faded blue hair, revealing some of their brown hair underneath. She had hazel eyes, freckles and moles scattered throughout her face and body, and a clumsy yet chaotic personality type. They were wearing a black dress, fishnet tights, black heeled boots, and a white Jean jacket with a gender fluid flag pin added to the front. 

The three seemed to be having fun, making small comments, sharing inside jokes, and looking at memes on the shorter girl's phone. I focus back to my meal that was now at my table. I guess I must've missed Callie setting it there? I take a bite and hum with satisfaction. All of a sudden I feel a weight in my lap. I make a small noise out of surprise and look down to see a ragdoll cat sprawled out in my lap. I smile and gently pet him while continuing to eat my meal. 

Once I finish my meal I stretch out, then notice that the ragdoll cat has fallen asleep on me. Not being able to contain my smiles I continue to pet him, hearing a soft purr every once in a while while he slept. 

BAM.

The cat jolted awake as I jumped from hearing the noise. The cat scrambled out of my lap and went to the safety of one of the couches in the corner. I look down at my feet and notice the gender fluid person I had noticed before laying down at my feet with the bigger cat laying on his chest. The cat must've jumped on him and taken them down with him. I cant help but laugh and wave at the person below me. 

"Having fun there?" I chuckle, causing the person under me to get embarrassed. 

"Listenn, this isn't my fault, I was just playing with him and he jumped on me causing me to fall over-" they huff out, looking back at the cat still on her chest. Her friends were now looking over at her, laughing hysterically. She blushes out of pure embarrassment and gently moves the cat off of him before sitting up. "I cant believe that happened I'm so sorry- I didn't mean for it to I hope I didn't interrupt your meal or experience-" She said getting back up and looking away. "Is there anything I can do to make up for it?"

I laugh and shake my head. "You didn't ruin anything! Trust me that was a great experience for me, it's not everyday I get someone falling at my feet" I grin, causing him to become even more embarrassed. "I'm Y/N by the way!" I say with a smile, seemingly catching them off guard. "Oh! I'm Kaiden! It's nice to meet you Y/N! Even with the odd circumstances we met under-" he says, letting out a small laugh. 

"Would you like to have a seat? You seemed to have quite a fall and I wanna make sure you're alright before you go back to your friends" I hum, giving a concerned look. They nod smiling and sit down in the seat across from me. We have such a nice chat, from hobbies to favorite animals and everything in between. I hadn't realized how much time had gone by until his friends walked over to us. 

"Hey Kiki we gotta head out soon, we're running low on money and if Mya stays here much longer she's going to sell her soul to these guys for more cat hugs"

"Oh! Alright Kayleigh, you two go on ahead I'll be right out! Just want to wrap things up here!" She says, to which the shorter friend nods, grabbing who I can only assume was Mya and heading to the front counter to pay for everything. I smile and tilt my head. 

"Kiki huh?"

"Its a name my friends call me! Leave it alone I like it" he said giving a pout, which only caused me to laugh. I stand up with them and walk them to the exit. 

"Well, it was nice meeting you Y/N! I'm sorry again for the awkward entrance- you sure there isn't any way I can make it up to you?"

CHOICE 1:

I smile and shake my head. "No it's okay really! I'm just glad you're not hurt!" Kaiden smiles at what I said and goes to grab a sticky note. "Well I'm going to give you my number anyways in case you can think of anything! Dont be afraid to send a text okay? Bye Y/N!" They then hand me the sticky note with their number on it and skip out of the cafe, meeting their friends outside. (Go to chapter titled 'Text String')

CHOICE 2:

I pretend to think for a moment and rest my hand on my chin. "Hmm, welllll I suppose we *could* come to an agreement! How about some compensation?" I say with a grin. She can tell I'm kidding but fishes out her wallet anyways. "If you wanted me to pay for your meal that bad you could have just asked dork" she says with a laugh. He then writes something down on a piece of paper and rolls it up in the money before handing it to me. "Wait- but I was-" I try to stutter out, but she just laughs, gives me a wave, and walks outside to meet her friends. I give out a sigh before smiling and looking down at the rolled up money. I gently unroll it to find that he had written his number on the piece of paper and a small note reading 'You're paying next time'. (Go to chapter titled 'Accidental Meetup')

Well that's the first chapter! Hopefully my friends dont mind me including them-- but oh well- anywho I hope you guys enjoyed! I'll add the next chapters soon! Love you!
