crunch.... crunch.... crunch... crunch.. crunch. crunch. crunch.
the satisfying sound of leaves being crushed under her feet set off a chain reaction of stepping on every dead leaf she came across, hoping it'd crunch as loudly as the one before did.
"what in the world are you doing?"
"crunching leaves, of course."
".. why?.."
"well, we're exploring a forest. with just trees. and trees. and trees.. how else am i meant to be entertained?"
now, most people would think aquarius is a sweet girl, the kindest girl around, next to taurus. but no. being around her for only a few minutes showed sagittarius that she is.. unusual.
normally, sagittarius wouldn't backtalk people in his mind but the way this girl acted and how she responded to his questions made him a bit guilty of the habit again.
"so.. what do you think we'll do? you know, with the exploring and everything.." sagittarius hummed, kicking a small rock and watching it scatter away.
"i dunno. i mean, will we get some message? will we even see the others again? we can't even see what time it is because of the trees covering the sky. and how do we know we aren't going to just lose each other and never see each other again? this plan has a lot of flaws."
great. another logical but weird response.
"well.. i guess we just have to hope. maybe we'll all find the same message somehow and we'll meet up again. plus, it doesn't have to be all of us, it could just be another pair. we won't be lost forever, we'll find the others sooner or later."
sagittarius tried to explain but also avoid another long response back.
"hm.. i guess you're right. but the chances of that 'miracle' is slim to none." she mumbled, jumping up and grabbing a branch to hang on. the forest was dim with light and small breezes sent shivers across their body and goosebumps along their arms.
the two decided to keep quiet, the only sound was their feet pressing onto the dead leaves and crunching down on them.
"this is kind of boring." aquarius sighed, stopping in her tracks and turning to face sagittarius. he blinked and stared back, slightly taken off guard on why they stopped so suddenly.
"uh, no, it's fine. we'll just keep walking and find something interesting along the way." he said, grinning sheepishly.
"you said that before and we still haven't found anything. come on, let's go a different direction!" she grinned and grabbed his hand, pulling them to a sharp left.
sagittarius yelped out, not able to stop her from dragging him along. he let her drag him through bushes and steep hills until they were met with steady ground again. she still held his hand, dragging him along the forest.
"do you know where we are going?" he said, slightly irritated that she was still dragging him along like a doll.
"nope! but fear not, we'll find something interesting, like you said! just taking a different direction can lead us to somewhere completely different!" she said happily.
sagittarius was just surprised a girl like her can be so strong. she looked harmless and pretty much perfect but he was clearly proven wrong.
"you know.. you can let go of my hand.." he mumbled, gently tugging on his hand.
