Chapter Forty-Four (Edited)

***Carly's POV***

It is early in the morning and I am on a plane back to the states to talk to Liam about the news I found out. I've tried calling him, but he won't answer. I even called Louis and he won't pick up either. I can't stop myself from yawning, but I'm so tired. I didn't get much sleep last night. Yesterday was fun, until I found out about Danielle being pregnant with Liam's baby. I don't know if it's true; that's why I'm going to go see him. Really I just want to find the bitch and tell her off. Abby and Lucas knew I was leaving to see Liam. I told them to warn Trisha. I know now that Trisha does not like Danielle, which could only be why she was so upset about it. A couple hours go by and I land in California. I have to get a cab since I can't reach Louis. When I finally get one I am on my way to the venue.
    When I get to the place I was half asleep. The cab driver was really nice and he actually pulls the cab right up to One Direction's bus. I pay him and he drives off. When I turn towards the bus Niall and Harry are staring at me. I give them a small smile and walk up to them. "Hey boys."
    "Wha...what are you doing here?" Niall stuttering was kind of cute. I laugh.
    "I'm here to see Liam." I walk around them, but Harry grabs my arm.
    "Liam doesn't want to be bothered." Harry spats out.
    I pull my arm away and glare at him. "Well he can take some time to see his fiancé." I walk onto the bus and it is silent. Finally I hear a little voice coming from the back. I walk back there and I find Liam talking on the phone. I am actually getting mad because I've tried calling him multiple times and here he is talking on the phone with someone and he's yelling at them. I clear my throat. Liam spins around and his eyes go wide when he sees me. He right away hangs up.
    "Ca-" I hold my hand up to interrupt him.
    "I've been trying to call you since yesterday." I fold my arms over my chest.
    "I was going to call you when I settled things."
    "Liam I know about Danielle and the pregnancy."
    Liam opens his mouth to say something, but no words come out. I walk back to the front and I know he's following me. Liam grabs my arm to stop me. I spin around and I am going to shove him, but Liam places his lips on mine. I am motionless. He knew this would calm me down. When he pulls away he has a small smile on his lips. I give him a small smile and sit on the couch. "Just tell me it's not true." I look away from him.
    Liam sits beside me and places a hand under my chin so I will look at him. "It's not true."
    Right away I put my arms around his shoulders. I just am so happy that it's not true. I pull away. "So who were you on the phone with?"
    "Danielle. Apparently she's here in California."
    I roll my eyes. "Go figure."
    "Well, she's coming here so we can talk."
    "I'm being here for this."
    "I was hoping you were going to say that." Liam smiles at me and he kisses my hair.
    The door opens and seconds later Zayn is coming up the steps. He stops when he sees me. He smiles, but then frowns right away. "Dani is here."
    Zayn walks to the back. I look at Liam and he gives me a reassuring smile. He grabs my hand and pulls me up. I smile at him before we walk off the bus. Right away I see Danielle talking to Harry and Niall. We walk up to them and right away Danielle sees Liam and she gives him this big flirty smile and I just want to throw up. I squeeze his hand and he squeezes back. When Danielle sees me her smile fades. Harry and Niall take off. We stop in front of her and Liam doesn't let go of my hand and I'm glad.
    "Carly it's finally nice to meet you." Danielle holds out her hand, but I don't take it. I don't say one word.
    "Dani leave Carly out of this." Liam speaks up. I can hear the venom in his voice. I think it scared Danielle a little bit because she takes a step back. "So why did you want to meet up?"
    "I thought we could catch up, but I think that's going to be a no since she's here." Danielle's voice is shaking.
    "We have no catching up to do. I know what you're telling the press, but you know I have my own story."
    "What are you talking about?" Danielle seems so scared it's so funny. I thought I was going to have to play with fire, but Liam is doing it all himself.
    Liam pulls out a newspaper. I catch a glimpse of the headline. 'Danielle Made Pregnancy Up to Get Payne Money'. He hands her the paper and her face turns white. "So everyone knows the real story. And you can't make up another story that will get you out of this one."
    "You can't do this to me." Danielle is yelling. She drops the newspaper. "Liam you won't get away with this."
    "Oh I just did." Liam points to the video camera that is in Harry's hand. I didn't even notice that he was standing there. "If you don't stay the hell away from me and Carly this goes viral."
    "AH!" Danielle screams and storms away.
    I turn to Liam and kiss him on the cheek. Liam smiles at me and winks at Harry. "It wasn't on was it?"
    "No." Liam and I laugh. He kisses my lips and we head back to the bus.
    "So where is Louis?" I ask when we sit down on the couch.
    "He took Eleanor out."
    I nod. I don't know much about Eleanor. All I know is she's Louis' wife. They've been married for almost two years now. Liam keeps saying when I move to London and were finally married I'll meet Eleanor.
    "I guess since the whole Dani thing is over you have to go back to London."
    "Yes. I only came here because I couldn't get a hold of you. I was getting worried."
    Liam puts his arm around my waist and pulls me onto his lap. "Baby, I'm sorry. When I found out the news I started panicking. Mum called me and she was crying. She told me it better not be true; which I told her it wasn't. I think she was scared that I was going to hurt you. I will never hurt you ever again. I love you too much to lose you again."
    I smile. Right away Liam kisses me passionately. I can get used to this. I pull away still smiling. "I love you too."
