Ash has anxiety, trust issues, and ptsd due to the neighborhood they grew up in and now they have the need to protect close ones so then they don't end up like her.
Ash is the kind of person who will stop at nothing to protect the people they care about. They couldn't care less whether or not she gets hurt (or killed for that matter). They're extremely loyal and overprotective. This has gotten Ash in trouble a few times though for speaking out of line or rudely to people. She doesnt care though.
