                                                                                   - Next morning -

Loki was already eating breakfast, not having waited for you. He ate in silence, as he has dismissed every maids. Like every morning. An early, and lonely bird...

However, a few minutes later, a knock was heard. Knowing who it was, he allowed the person to enter. Marya, the head maid for almost two hudreads  years now, walked silently to him. Some people said she was the only one to whom Loki talked "normally". Without an hauty attitude. Probably because she was already the headmaid before he was crowned, and took care of him as a child. King Loki was maybe an asshole, but he kept some manners.

Marya bowed to him, standing at a few inches from his chair.

M: My king, I am here to tell you that Adrian informed your new maid, and her service for you is confirmed.

Loki nodded, not bothering to look at her as he kept eating.

M: She will be here in ten minutes.

He nodded again, and Marya understood that it was a dismissal. She so walked away, heading to the kitchen.

What no one knew, and that even Loki struggled to admit, is that he always had you on watch. Every move, everything you did. He always watched you from far away, and was certain that you would be better at his hands. First because he noticed what a good job you were doing for Sif- never late, kind, understanding and more- and second because he wanted you for himself. Being the king... he should have the best maid, shouldn't he?

You exhaled loudly as you fixed your long golden hair into a tight bun. You kept repeating to yourself how everything would be all right, and go just fine. It had to, right?
After walking through the different hallaways, you finally arrived to the dinning room. You quietly entered, and blushed hard when you noticed Loki already being there. He never talked to you, and yet he got you wrapped around his finger like that. What kind of power is it?
You stayed aside, trying to not stare at him. But he just got this hands, and those eyes... and damn his lips.

A now slight smirk was playing on Loki's lips and you looked away another time, afraid he read your mind. You were playing with the end of your skirt, as you always did when you were anxious, and waited for him to finish.

L: Head up, maid.

Loki said firmly, and you snapped your head up to him. Dammit, that voice... He put down his tea and crossed his arms over his chest, observing you up and down. Your cheeks got colored again, and you did your best to not look away. You cleared your throat a bit to get rid of the awkard feeling in your chest, and the king raised a brow.

L: In my chamber. Only five minutes.

He looked at your eyes one last time before getting up, and walking away. You frowned at the sudden command, your eyes on the dishes. You are supposed to clean them as soon as someone finishes but... he called you! You locked your hands in front of you as you quickly followed him, your eyes on the floor. Norns, he walked fast! Your mind wandered to thousands of scenarios of what could happen. Did you do something bad already? Is he going to kill you?? You entered in the room, and Loki's deep voice brought you back to reality.

L: close the door.

You immediately did so, pushing the door close with one hand. He finished to button his shirt and locked his hands behind him.

L: Since I do not care about your name, I will call you "maid" or anything I'd like.

He started to walk to you, so you took a few steps back.

L: Look at me when I talk to you.

You looked up at him almost immediately, and nodded.

-Yes my king. I-I am sorry.

You bite the inside of your cheeks, as you find yourself stuttering. AMAZING. A slight blush came across your cheek, and you cleared your throat.

-I am sorry

You corrected yourself a bit louder, trying to sound confident. But how could you be confident with HIM in the room?

L: oh and, you will no longer dress like other maids. Marya shall bring appropriate clothes to your chamber today.

You frowned a bit but nodded. Why would you need different clothes? He looked at you before going to his bookshelf, and picking up a book. He walked back to you and handed it to you.

L: a summary of this for the end of the week.

He looked down at you, as you yourself looked down at the book. Okay... You took it and when you looked up at Loki again, he was smirking.

L: dismissed.

Before you could say anything, he walked to his balcony. Your eyes were fixed on his back, as your thumbs slowly rubbed the book. You sighed a bit and walked to your room, closing his door behind you.
