The Arts of Becoming a Con Artist

Are we in a theatre?
Are these the costumes?
Are we all wearing masks?
I didn't know this was a masquerade.

You're hiding yourself.
You're fooling others.
Is this who you want to be?
Do you want to "fit in" with the
other painters?

Well, don't paint my face.
Don't glue a mask on me.
I'm an open book.
Read my pages,
I don't think you know me.

I love myself and I hate others?
Hate myself and love others?
Who are "others"?
Don't they wear the same paint that you wore?

Don't take pity on me.
I'm just like you,
a con artist too.
