She exposed herself to the caterpillar thinking she would be safe there. In his arms, he nurtures. Sadly, no more heartwarming messages and light from the moon. Happiness fades and turns to gloom. The boy she once knew is gone far away. He has no more for her. Winter comes but he has no cocoon. Spring is here and he is still that caterpillar that she once knew as her butterfly.

He exposed himself to the human thinking he was right for her. In her arms, he wanted nothing more.  Sadly, eventually the love he has for her was too much. Happiness fades and turns to gloom. The girl he once knew is still there, but barely, for her heart was broken. He has so much more to give. Winter comes and he cannot find a home. Spring is here and his world was shattered because the thing he loved most is the thing he wasn't supposed to touch.

Side Note: I'm sorry if this is sad, but I'm not exactly feeling up to par so this poem reflects my mood right now.
