"Jennie, we have to go." A deep voice spoke from behind the silent child. She shook her head as she sat there, eyes blank with dry tears on her pale cheeks. Those feline shaped eyes saw things no young child should ever have to see.

She lifted her trembling hands and stared at the blood in her palms. Where was it coming from, she wondered. But then she dropped her hand and was faced with a woman laying on the floor in front of her.

The lifeless woman's face was covered with her long dark hair and her white gown was coated with dark blood.

"Wake up," Jennie whispered through her new warm tears. Her hand slowly began to reach for her till a soft, gentle hand took her wrist, pulling her up. Jennie gasped but the moment she looked up, she cried harder and hugged the tall, blonde faceless woman,

"Lili!"

"I'm here," the woman whispered, hugging the young Jennie's tiny frame. "Why haven't you left yet?" She heard the woman ask the man in similar white armor as the faceless woman.

"I could not. She refused," he whispered in return. The woman sighed before pulling Jennie away to kneel in front of her. She took off her metal gloves and held Jennie's face gently,

"Jennie, you must go." Jennie shook her head wildly and fought to pull herself away but Lisa held tighter, "Please Jennie, you must. It is your destiny to live," her voice was trembling. The woman sounded desperate. But Jennie felt angry. She pushed off the hands,

"Where were you?" She watched as the woman looked down. Her silence caused Jennie to grow even more angry than before, "You promised you would stay and protect us!! Where were you Lili!?"

Jennie began to hit Lili's armored chest with her bloody hands, crying hysterically, and the woman remained silent, staring down on the floor, allowing the child to hit her. But then a pair of armored hands took hold of Jennie's arms from behind and held her steady.

"Let me go!!"

The woman suddenly stood up, "You will take my place."

The man stiffened, "What? But—."

"Take. My. Place," she interrupted, her voice angry as a storm. Her tone grew heavy on Jennie's shoulders. She was no longer fighting in the man's arms. "I will retrieve you when the moment arrives. Till then you will be taking my place. That is an order." The hand that gripped Jennie's arms softened,

"As you wish," before Jennie knew it, the man had lifted her in his arms and stepped out of the building.

"No!! Let me go!!"

They stepped out when suddenly, they flew into the chilled night sky. The breeze flew through her body so strongly. The sound of rustling and flapping, like pages of a book being thrown and thrashed around echoed in her ears the higher they flew.

Jennie cried, "No! Please! I don't want to go!" She looked down only to feel her cries increasing as she gazed at her favorite person watching from below.

"Lili!!"

The woman looked away.

"Lili please!!"

"Jennie."

"Li–!"

"Jennie, wake up!"

Ripping her eyes wide open, Jennie shot up gasping for air. She placed her hands on her chest, breathing deeply and heavily. Her body was coated in cold sweat and she found herself trembling. It felt as if she slept in a tub filled with ice. Her heart was frantically beating against the cage of her ribs and she felt the abnormal beat just underneath her fingertips. She then gasped once more when another knock was heard.
