A/N: Warning/ a very violent chapter
Jennie felt her heart thundering in her chest. The pounding of her chest echoed in her ears and she was shaking. His energy was similar to Ares and Eris. The cold darkness rippled off of him. She nearly dropped the sword in her hand when he smiled a smile of cruelty. But she knew she had to focus. She needed to steady her mind and her breathing. Just as Lisa taught her–
Lisa. Oh God. Where is she? Jennie prayed she was still alive.
Her eyes glanced behind him and Jennie wanted to fall to the floor and cry. There Rosé lay, blood seeping out of her lips. Her cheeks, once pink and lively, were now pale. Rosé 's eyes were staring in fear as she whimpered in pure agony because her once strong wings looked horrifyingly broken. It was bent in a way no wings should be.
"Run," the angel begged, gripping onto her sword and fighting with everything in her to stand up. But just as she stood, a black smoke wrapped around her neck and lifted.
"No!!" Jennie screamed but cried as it brutally threw her against the wall over and over and Jennie cried even more, "Stop it!!" Rosé screamed and screamed and oh God, her wings were breaking. "Abbadon stop it!!"
And he did but the smoke kept its hold around her throat, causing her to dangle in its grasp lifelessly. She was no longer screaming. Please be alive.
"So, your highness knows who I am," he spoke slowly in seduction and Jennie's shaking deepend. His dark, soulless eyes burned her. Her throat felt dry, she could no longer speak under such evil gaze. "Then, you are well aware of what I can do to you," he grinned deeply. Jennie gripped her sword tightly in front of her.
Breathe.
Inhale. Exhale.
"I do. But I-I also know you won't do anything to me," Jennie bargained. She had to get him out of there and away from everyone in the castle. He crossed his arms and tilted his head in mock wonder,
"I won't?"
Jennie gulped thickly, "You won't," she carefully took a few steps closer to the door, "My life is not yours to take. It's Ares."
The moment the name left Jennie's mouth, Abbadon stiffened and the dark mist around him seemed to thicken. His hand seemed to inch towards the black chain around his neck. Jennie must have struck a nerve.
"Oh, I see," Jennie nodded, "You're his little pet." His fist tightened and he glared deeply. "He owns you."
Just another step Jennie.
"I belong to no one."
Before Jennie could take another step and dash down the hall. Black mist wrapped around her own neck and suddenly, she was off the ground gasping for air. The cold mist brought her face to face with dark eyes. His face was filled with fury.
"I," the mist dissolved and Jennie whimpered in pain as his hands were now gripping her face tightly, his nails piercing her skin, "Belong to no one!" he roared, before dropping her to the floor. She fell with a gasp and hissed in pain from the impact, dropping the sword. He took a step closer to her but the chain on his neck glowed causing him to scream in pain.
"Enough!!" he growled, "God damn you!! I understand!"
Jennie sat up and crawled backwards till her back hit the wall. She glanced to her right and met Jisoo's scared, tearful eyes before she looked towards the demon before her again.
He was breathing deeply before brushing his hair back and meeting her scared eyes. His nostrils flared, "I may not be able to kill you," Fear grew within her again as she watched him glance towards Rosé again. "But there are other delicious options." Suddenly, he pulled out a black dagger, one with bright red carvings.
