The sun was barely rising when Jennie emerged into the training room, fiddling with her braid that hung on one side of her neck anxiously.
"Lisa?" She called, closing the doubled doors and looking around, searching for a certain blonde beauty. She scrunched her brows when she was met with silence and an empty room. "Guess she's still sleeping."
Jennie then found herself staring towards the weapon rack. She glanced around before smiling mischievously to herself and stalking towards the bright swords. She had always wondered what it felt like to wield such a weapon.
She stopped in front and skimmed her fingertips against the metal. However, just as she was about to wrap her fingers around the handle, a voice spoke just above her.
"What are you doing?"
She gasped and took a step away from the weapons. Jennie glanced up and met curious golden eyes. Lisa was floating down, her wings brushing through the air softly, creating a sound so soothing. Jennie's breath hitched.
From the moment they met, Jennie had never been able to look away from her. It was as if she had developed a keen awareness of her presence everywhere she went. She wondered if it was the same for the blonde.
"Good morning," Lisa calmly greeted as she gently placed her feet on the ground. She rolled her shoulders backwards, tucking in her wings before releasing a soft breath. Jennie tilted her head and stared in curiosity,
"Does that hurt?" Lisa glanced at her questioningly but soon noticed Jennie staring towards the empty space behind her. She merely shrugged,
"Not at all," she replied. Jennie pursed her lips and nodded stiffly, realizing that the soldier is not one to hold proper conversations. "Shall we begin?" She asked, rolling up her sleeves. Jennie nodded,
"What are we starting with?" She asked, already eyeing the sharp weapons. However, Lisa's mouth curled upwards,
"I don't suppose you believe I will allow you to wield a sword on your first day of training," she mocked. "You might accidentally wound yourself with your tiny muscles." Jennie sent a glare and crossed her arms. Apparently the brute was capable of conversation. Just not the kind ones.
"Is it necessary to be so rude all the time?" She asked, disliking the amusement in the angels eyes.
"I find your glares quite endearing," Lisa responded with a certain, odd glint in her eyes. And Jennie flushed in embarrassment from the truth that rang out in her words. She wondered what else Lisa thought... It was way too early for these thoughts.
"Now," Lisa clapped, "Today we will begin with the basics," she said, making her way towards the grass. Jennie breathed deeply, following suit,
"Which is?"
Lisa turned to face her, "Balancing and breathing." Jennie furrowed her brows,
"Balancing and breathing?" She then narrowed her eyes, "Are you trying to mock my strength again?" Lisa rolled her own brown eyes,
"Will you continue to be in disbelief with my words? Shall I call off training already?"
"No, go on with your orders, captain," Jennie said with a small huff. Lisa once again rolled her eyes in annoyance and Jennie could not help but find her little to no patience amusing. "Are you always this cranky in the morning?"
"Are you always this infuriating in the mornings?" She fired back with her own annoying— sexy grin. This angel was the embodiment of a perfect woman. Of course, she will never admit that out loud.
Jennie scoffed, "Okay! So balancing and breathing. Why do I have to train for that?" She asked, removing her jacket and tossing it to the side, revealing a black tank top, paired with brown leather training pants. Those golden eyes swept over her figure before meeting Jennie's eyes.
