====================================

They finally arrived to the junk yard, looking around at the dump.

"Oh yeah. Yeah. This will do." Steve stated, taking off his sunglasses. "This will do just fine. Good call dude."

They continued to throw meat chunks onto the ground for Dart. They then poured the remaining into a pile.

"I said medium- well!"

They looked seeing Lucas waving with grin, Max right next to him.

"Who's that?" Steve asked.

Dustin stayed quiet, forming a smile on Mitch's face. Steve saw the two's expression, putting it together.

A couple minutes later, Lucas and Dustin were talking while Steve, Max and Mitch got everything ready.

"So uh- you- your the friend Billy talks about, aren't you?" Max suddenly spoke up.

Mitch furred her eyebrows, "I mean I'm his friend-,"

"No- Billy has lots of friends. Your- but your the only one that makes him less of a dick after hanging out." Max stated. "Whenever he comes home from hanging with you he's kinda- he's- he's not a total asshole."

Mitch smiled lightly, kinda feeling happy that she had that effect on Billy. She looked at Steve, "See. Told you. If you have the right friends- you become non-asshole. It worked with you- now it's working with Billy."

"Yeah whatever." Steve rolled his eyes, "Tell me when this 'new Billy' starts."

Max noticed Steve's reaction, and smirking remember how only a couple minutes ago, Lucas was telling her about Steve and Mitch. He was totally right. Steve did like Mitch. And Mitch like him. But their were both too dumb to see it.

"So uh- Max how did you meet Dustin and the others?" Mitch asked.

"Well, they stalked me for about a week, then we went trick or treating together, and then everything else you know." Max answered.

"Stalking." Mitch repeated. She then sighed, "Sounds about right."

Suddenly they both heard a bang, looking and seeing Steve yelling at the boys to help.

Max watched with wide eyes. She looked at Mitch, "He's- He's-,"

"He's something." Mitch finished for her, "Words can't really describe Steve Harrington."

"Yeah." Max replied.

Now everyone was working, setting everything up. Place tin pieces into piles, getting the abandoned bus ready to be their place of protection.

Steve poured gasoline on the meat and all around the place until it reached the bus.

Once the sun was setting they went into the bus, Mitch closing it once they were all in.

And then sun finally set, and it was almost impossible for Mitch to stay awake.

She sat next to Steve, her eyes fluttering with sleepiness. She jolted awake hearing a slight sound, relaxing seeing it was just Dustin moving.

"You know you can relax for minute." Steve told her. "I could tell you've been tired all day."

"Yeah- well knowing there's a demogorgan somewhere again really keeps you awake." Mitch said.
