===================================="I swear, if anyone hears about this-," Steve called out.
"We're dead!" The kids called out.
Steve rolled his eyes with a sigh, going back into his job. "So it's currently 7:30. And Mitch should be getting off a work, any second now."
Steve glared at Robin as she smirked, "Will today be the day?" She asked.
Steve took his work hat off, running his hand through hair in stress. He made his way outside of scoops ahoy, and into the mall, looking around.
He looked at Mitch's shop, groovy records. He's heart leaped seeing her leave the store. He smiled as Mitch jumped as high as she could to grabbed the gate at the top of the entrance, catching onto it and pulling it down as she landed.
"You're 0 for 9 popeye." Robin spoke up making him look, "That means you one failed attempt from 10. Maybe this time you'll maybe ask her out instead of freezing up like the dork you are."
Steve smiled sarcastically, "Why did I ever become friends with you?"
Robin shrugged as she walked towards the front too, "It's because I give you good advice. Most of the time you don't take it but it's good advice either way."
"Oh shit here she comes." Steve muttered.
Mitch walked down the steps, going to the scoops ahoy ice cream shop. As she got there she saw Steve, and smiled.
"Kill me now." Steve panicked, "Kill me now before the suffering starts."
"Or you can ask her out." Robin said once again, "And not even deal with the suffering."
"Hey!" Mitch greeted both of them. She walked over to Robin, hugging her.
"Hey where's my hug?" Steve asked.
Mitch looked at him unsure, "I don't know, I think Robin's my favorite today."
Steve's mouth dropped in shock, Robin giggling as she went back to the counter to help guests. As Mitch turned back to Steve, Robin turned around also to Steve, pointing at Mitch and mouth ASK HER repeatedly.
Steve rolled his eyes, "So uh- how was work today."
"Eh- people come in, buy the music that's popular but completely avoid the music that should be listened to on a daily basis cause it's just that great." Mitch said sitting down in one of the booths, "Great day as per usual. You?"
Steve smiled, sitting down across from her, "Scooped some ice cream, dropped some ice cream and thought it'd be a good idea to pick up with my bare hands so now my hands smell like strawberry." Steve replied, "Our jobs suck."
Mitch laughed, Steve smiling even more seeing her laughing.
"Uh- Mitch-," Steve started, her looking at him with her crystal blue eyes. He gulped almost being pulled into a trance by them, but continued, "-so, I was wondering if-,"
Suddenly the lights turned off. In the whole mall.
Both of them got up, looking around confused, "Thats weird." Steve muttered. "Here- come with me."
She followed him behind the counter, going to the lights and switching the light switch back and forth, no reaction from the lights.
"You do know the entire mall is dark right?" Mitch asked.
Steve looked at her, "Well you never know, I might be able to turn it back on."
Both Robin and Mitch looked at each, Steve continually flipping the switch on and off.
