Coming together at Starbucks is becoming regularly between Serena and I and that gives me the opportunity to get to know her better. Serena has told a lot of things about herself, her friends and her life goal. She wants to become the most known fashion designer of the world. She's only at Republic Records because she needs money to rent her apartment.

,,I don't care about fashion." I tell her honestly.

,,No, you will be the most known music producer in the world. Famous artists will stand in line to work with you." Serena takes a sip from her coffee.

,,Ha, I just started. Working with Emily wasn't my choice."

,,What happened between you two?"

,,She betrayed me by siding with my former girlfriend."

,,I got that but what did your former girlfriend do that makes you this mad?" Serena asks me and I can see that she's saying that because she cares about me.

,,She cheated on me."

,,Oh, no! I'm sorry that happened to you. I know how you feel, I found my former boyfriend in my bed with my best friend. So being cheated on, I know that feeling."

,,Let's get our coffee's and go to Republic Records, I want to write more songs and forget about Chloe." I say and grab my coffee. Serena nods and stands up with me to follow me outside. ,,I can't wait to let Sutton hear my new song." I tell Serena as I look to my side.

,,Good morning, Mitchell." I turn around to the voice I recognize immediately.

,,It was until now." I want to turn back towards Serena, but Aubrey won't let me.

,,Beca, why aren't you talking to Chloe?"

,,Don't pretend you don't know, Aubrey. You all betrayed me, that's unforgivable."

,,You know that you're hurting Chloe by your silent treatment, right?" I laugh sarcastically. ,,Beca, you need to let Chloe explain."

,,What's left to explain? Stacie told me everything." Aubrey pretty much laughs in my face.

,,Not a reliable person to listen to." She tells me and that makes me mad.

,,I don't know why you came all the way here just to tell me I hurt Chloe, but you need to go. Stacie is my best friend."

,,She's a serial liar."

,,Watch what you're saying!" I point towards Aubrey. ,,Stacie will never lie to me, she's my best friend. So why don't you just shut up and leave?!"

,,That's what I thought too!" Aubrey says. ,,And what about Chloe, huh? She never lied to you, has she?! Think about that, before you take a side." Aubrey shouts before turning and want to storm away. I won't let her tho, so I grab her arm.

,,Don't you dare to walk away from me!" I force her to turn back to face me. ,,You say that Stacie lied, right?" I ask her and she nods. ,,Then tell me, Aubrey. If Stacie is lying, like you claim, why would she do that? What is it in it for her?"

,,Stacie is furious at Chloe. She wants to ruin her life and setting you up against Chloe is helping." I roll my eyes.

,,Stacie is furious at Chloe and I understand that. Chloe betrayed me!"

,,She didn't mean to. I get that you're angry, but -"

,,Hell yeah, I'm angry! How would you react if the love of your life cheated on you?!"

,,I don't know, but I think you should talk to Chloe."

,,Why would I do that? Didn't Chloe cheat on me?"

,,No, she did cheat on you but -"

,,Was is Chicago that she slept with?"

,,Yes, but -"

,,Stop making excuses and answer my questions!" I yell at her. ,,Is Ryan Chicago's son?" Aubrey nods. ,,And is it true that Chloe cheated on me only three months after the boat accident?" Aubrey nods once again. ,,Then don't come here and tell me that Stacie lied to me! She told me all those things and you just confessed that they were all true, so I have every right to be furious at Chloe for breaking my heart. I fought for three years on that damn island to come back to her and she just forgets all about me and stays with the guy that was trying to take her away from me in college! Chloe doesn't give a shit about me anymore and I don't want to see her ever again, understand?!"

,,Beca, there are things you don't know yet."

,,I don't want to know more details about Chloe and Chicago. Look, I get that you want everything to be good between Chloe and I again, but I can't. It's too painful." I turn around to Serena and am about to walk away, when Aubrey tells me one last thing.

,,Everything you know is the twisted truth, Beca. Chloe loves you, you are the only one for her and if you would think about giving her a chance to explain herself, she would be forever grateful." I don't say anything to Aubrey and just walk towards Republic Records with Serena.

,,Ah, Beca. Good to see you." Sutton walks up to me right away when I enter the company. ,,Walk with me, I have an assignment for you." I smile and walk after Sutton into her office. Sutton closes the door and sits behind her desk. ,,Mr. Banks and I have been thinking about your latest song and we both agree."

,,Agreed on what?"

,,We are going to set up an song contest to find the perfect singer for your song. We know you only want to be the songwriter, but we would like to record this song and maybe if it goes right, an whole album."

,,Are you serious?!" I say enthusiastically.

,,Deadly serious."

,,When do I need to judge the singers?"

,,Next week. And you won't be the only ones who will judge the contestants."

,,Who would be with me?"

,,You will have the final opinion, but Emily will join you at the judge table." My eyes widen. ,,You two are good now, right? You guys can work together?" I nod. ,,Well, then I don't see any problems. There will be an audience since we will allow citizens to be there too. You need to watch them closely to see how they're reacting to the song and the singer."

,,Okay, can I bring someone with me?" I ask and then look over towards Serena, who is already looking at me. I smile and wave at her, which she gladly return.

,,You can bring Serena with you. You two are becoming pretty close, huh?" Sutton winks at me and I just smile while shrugging my shoulders.

,,We're just starting to see where our relationship will end, but I do like her."

,,Hey, there is nothing wrong with friends with benefits." I laugh nervously. I thought about it but I think I want a real relationship with Serena. The truth is, I want to hurt Chloe as much as she hurt me. I think her seeing me with Serena can do that. ,,That was everything I needed to say. Thank you for your time and I expect to see your new song within the next two weeks." I nod at Sutton before exiting her office and walk straight towards Serena.

,,What did she want from you?" Serena asks me.

,,Well, she is arranging an evening so I can choose one singer who will sing my song."

,,Oh, my, God! Beca, that's amazing! Congratulations!" Serena pulls me into a hug. I smile and look at her.

,,Would you accompany me to that evening next week?"

,,Are you asking me out?" Serena says flirty and I nod. ,,I thought you would never ask." She smiles. ,,I would love to be your plus one."

,,That's arranged then. I'll pick you up, dress sexy." I say and walk back to my desk to work on my next song. It needs to be perfect, because I might not get more chances than now.
