Beca's point of view

I feel bad for shutting Chloe and Ryan out for the last few weeks, but when I saw Chicago trying to get back into the picture I fell back into old habits. I know they didn't deserve it so as an apology to Chloe I've decided to dedicate a night of music to her, where I sing some of the songs that I've been working on during that time. Hopefully, she will forgive me and we can continue to move forward with these songs I hope she realizes how much I love her and care about her.

I had messaged Serena, asking her if she could make a reservation at the same bar we used when we had the audition for new talent. She asked me what it was for and I told her Chloe. Serena then walked into my office.

,,I need more details than that to plan properly." I bow my head and sigh.

,,Fine, you caught me. I did something stupid and now I'm trying to make it up to her." Serena laughs a bit.

,,What was it this time?"

,,Shut her out because Chicago was trying to get closer to them and I got scared." I say, rubbing the back of my neck, avoiding eye contact. Serena crosses her arms.

,,God, Beca! Who would you do that? You know they both don't like Chicago and you just gave him a free pass?" I feel embarrassed. ,,Alright, I'm pulling out all the stops for this event because you have a lot of groveling and making up to do." I look up at her and smile.

,,Thank you, Serena. I owe you for this. I'm so glad we're still friends."

,,Of course, now you better have those songs perfected because I'm setting it up to be for tomorrow." Serena walks out of my office on her phone, already making plans. I grab my phone and open the Whatsapp talk between Chloe and myself.

Beca 🏍: Please make sure you are free tomorrow night, I have something planned as a way to make up my absence to you.

Chloe 💖: How do I need to dress? 🤔 And can Ryan come?

Beca 🏍: Casual for dress, and of course he can come 😊

Chloe 💖: Perfect, we will see you tomorrow 😘

Now I'm just left to perfect the songs and make sure Olivia is ready to sing the new single I wrote about Chloe but for Olivia to sing. I decided I need to get out of the studio to prepare for tomorrow since that's the only place I've been the last few weeks. I make my way home and just think about how I'm going to get back on track with bonding with Ryan and getting closer to Chloe. I hope these songs do the trick and show Chloe that I am serious about her and Ryan, even if I do stupid things sometimes. I order myself some takeout for dinner and then take a relaxing bath to calm my nerves about tomorrow.

Once I get out of the bath, I see that I have a message from Serena. I open the message.

Serena 🐠: You're all set for tomorrow. The bar said they would open up at 3 PM for you to get there early and set up. The rest of the guests will arrive at 5 PM, so that gives you 2 hours to sort yourself out. Do not screw this up Beca, I worked too hard to help you get her back!

I laugh to myself before sending a quick message back.

Beca 🙈: Thanks Serena and let's hope I don't screw it up, see you tomorrow.

With that I plug my phone into the charger and crawl into bed for the night, getting ready for tomorrow.

The next evening

Thank God Serena is here early with me to make sure I don't mess it up again. I also have Olivia come early to practice her part to make sure she has it down. After an hour and a half of rehearsing and sound checking, I'm starting to doubt myself and that Chloe isn't going to like this so I go over and find Serena. She's busy on her phone so I tap her shoulder.
