Grey

It felt so wrong but so right. I need to hold back. After bandaging him. He fell asleep and I still can't fall asleep. I draw small circles on his chest. I gently get out of bed. Slowly walk towards the balcony. I slide the door open, I feel the wind whip against my skin. Even though I'm relieved Miles is awake. I can't help but think of how all this is gonna end. I turn back to check on him, to find he was not there. I knew it I wasn't the same as the others.

I rub my forearms. It feels so cold. Arms wrap around me. So warm.

"What's wrong? Kitten" he whispers

"What are you doing out of bed?"

"Does it bother you?"

"Not particularly."

"I need a small walk I've been in bed for too long. My muscles need a stretch."

"That whole time you weren't asleep?"

"You know what happens beforehand." His voice sounded so sad and disappointed

I turn around in his arms.

"I'm sorry. I really am. But I really can't. If you really want I'll call Vanessa I'm sure she wouldn't mind. Don't worry about me I'll be fine."

I quickly pull myself out and run towards to door. He doesn't even try to stop me. My heart hurts. I'm use to this but why does it still hurt? I find myself knocking at Vanessa door. I'm surprised she's still up. Those words spill out of my mouth

"Miles need you"

"Tell him I'll be over in a few."

I did the usual. A glass of water he usually has it before Vanessa and him have it. I place the glass gently on his desk. His was sitting there. Staring at me with a smirk on his face.

"Anything else?"

"As a matter of fact yes. Stay here til Vanessa comes."

He stands up a circles me. My hand is bowed. I'm looking at the ground. His feet stand in front of me. I look at him in surprise. His hands cup my face. His expression softens

"What I'm about to do say when Vanessa walks through that door. I'm sorry. I'm very sorry." He pressed his lips on my forehead.

Vanessa's footsteps get louder and louder. I couldn't break away from his eyes, his gotten me trapped under his gaze. In one swift move I'm pressed up against him. The footsteps halt to a stop, she's watching us. I once realise what's happening. I clench my fists and start banging against Miles chest. His lips were right on my neck. Trailing down. It reminded me of that night. The night Xavier.....

"I'm sorry" he whispers against my skin.

He stops and looks at Vanessa.

"Is something so urgent you need to come to my private quarters? Can't you tell I'm busy... with my"

He looks down at me and I look up at him.

"Mate"

My face flushed and I look away. If you really want me to then I'll act with you till the end.

"I thought you said you cut ties with her."

I tip toe to reach his neck, slowly and gently I leave kisses down his neck. His arm around me loosens a little. Instead of it becoming like a rope, his arm feels more like support.

"I did."

Vanessa lets out a frustrated grunt before storming back to her room, that moment I let him go, but he doesn't do the same. His arm was still around me.
