Training

We were about to start training when Bisky noticed a hostile presence. She dodged out of the way of an attack, but a man cut some of her hair with scissors. He revealed his ability to us, but once he learned about Bisky's true power, he became a lot more scared. Then Bisky forced us to fight him to train. We fought him for a while, and once we beat him, he left to turn himself in.

After that, Bisky had us run to Masadora, but we had to go in a straight line, which meant digging through cliffs. While doing that, we learned shu. Shu was enveloping an object in your aura to make it stronger. We used it on the shovels to speed up digging.

Once we reached Masadora, Bisky made us go back and fight the monsters we couldn't beat before. This time we defeated them quickly, and got a lot of cards doing it too.

Then Bisky started training us in nen. She gathers all her aura in her fist, which is called ko, and has us defend with it using ken. Ken is a combination of ten and ren, like an unconcentrated ko. At first we can only use ken for about two minutes, but after a lot of training we can hold it for an hour.  Then Bisky teaches us ryu, the concentrated movement of aura.

Once we learn this, Bisky has us spar each other. We start slowly, but after two weeks our sparring resembles a real fight. Then we begin category specific training. Gon and Killua trained in enhancement, and I trained in manipulation. Then, Gon and I trained in emission, and Killua trained in transmutation. Bisky says that to be good at nen you have to be knowledgable about your adjacent nen categories. While we were training in different categories, Gon got an idea for a nen ability, Janken rock. It was an enhanced punch based around the idea of rock-paper-scissors. He was also working on Janken paper, but since that was emission, he struggled more with it.

Bisky and Gon were talking about his nen abilities when Killua spoke up. He held his fingers up, and electricity crackled between them. I watched in awe as he increased the amount of electricity between his hands.

"That's so cool Killua!" I said. "Yeah!" Gon smiled. "You're like an electric eel!"

"That's a horrible comparison!" Killua said as he glared at Gon.

"Oh right! I worked on a new ability also!" I said. "I dropped the other two, since they weren't versatile or efficient, but the new one works well with my ghost ability!"

I bent down and picked up a rock off the ground. I threw it at Gon, who got ready to block it. It was close to his face when I stopped it in mid air, then made it hit Killua instead.

"Hey! What the hell?" he said in anger and surprise. I laughed. "It's my new ability! Poltergeist. It's basically telekinesis, but I have to touch the thing first, and it can't weigh more than 10 pounds(4.5 kg)."

"Wait, if it can only be something light, how would that be useful?" asked Gon.

"Both ghost and poltergeist have to have me touch the thing first, so I can make it a ghost, which makes it weightless, then use poltergeist on it," I said, trying to make sure his brain didn't start overheating.

"Impressive!" said Bisky. "It may not be the most suited to combat, but it compliments your skills well." I smiled at her compliment. "So, what will you do to celebrate?" asked Bisky.

"Huh?" we all said in unison.

"It's almost New Year's in the real world. Time flows at the same speed in the game," she said.

"Oh no, Killua, the deadline for applying to the hunter exam is coming up!" Gon said worriedly.

"And training was just starting to get fun," he sighed.

"I believe you're required to apply before the end of the year," said Bisky.

"Then we need to hurry!" I said. "How do we get back into the real world?"
