"Everyone treats her like she is special... ", I complained.
"Ah ah ah... ", my mother cut me short as she placed her index finger on her lips.
"I don't recall asking you to talk, now lift the log ", she barked at me with the meanest face ever.
I moved closer to the log and bent over to it. She told me that I must pick the log from one end, as a punishment for coming to my sister's ritual.
With my hands under the log, I tried standing up, but my strength might have left me when she knocked me down from the sky. I could hear my muscles straining not to get torn.
"Mom please! ", I screamed with tears in my eyes.
"Not a chance get back to the lifting", she barked again.
"I promise I will stop making her feel bad", I pleaded as I continued lifting the log in strains.
She walked towards me and put her hand under the log and flung it deep into the late evening sky.
"Catch", she said as she put her hands behind her.
I looked up to the log in the sky, turned and looked at my hands and then turned back to the log. I turned to my mother and fell at her feet.
"I promise I will never make Edna feel bad again", I cried to her but she didn't even flinch.
I looked up to the log as it fell down with great force. Her feet left the ground as she caught the log effortlessly in the air and gently put it to the ground. She came to me and put a hand on my back as pity filled her eyes.
"This is exactly how you make Edna feel, so tell me, is it fun? ", she asked as she stared into my eyes.
I nodded my head in the negative.
"Tell me is it fun? ", she asked again.
"No", I managed to say as tears trickled down my cheeks.
"Come here ", she said and pulled me in for a hug. We were in that position when I noticed something in the sky. It was flying directly towards us but I couldn't make out what it was because it was dark.
"What is that? ", I asked my mom as I pulled away from her arms.
"What? ", she said looking around.
I pointed to the direction of the object or whatever it was.
She stood and kept staring at the thing.
"It's your father ", she said with puzzled face.
"Where did they go?", I asked.
"I don't know ", she said without turning.
I watched till my father alighted with Edna in his arms, motionless. He handed her to my mother who already had her arms open.
"Tell everyone to go to the temple and stay there, I will explain everything later", my father said and flew into the sky again. Mom grabbed my hand and ran towards the ancient temple.
