Edna's body gets colder by the minute but she was still breathing. We made a make shift bed in the temple where she laid down. I had dressed her wound properly. It looked like a dog attack but it wasn't. What ever creature that did that was way more powerful than a dog.

The temple was pretty much crowded but silent. We only come here to see the abilities our younger ones got from our ancestors not hide in it. I believe Tony knows what he is doing, but I should at least know what is going on. I mean, how can you lead when you have no information on what is happening around you.

I looked up to Nathan's face and he obviously looked tired. He was holding Edna's hand in pity. I then knew my punishment worked on him.

"How is she? ", I heard a female voice ask. I looked up and it was Camila Merino.

Why her of all people. She never liked us, not even one person from our family. She hated our regime and the fact that we had abilities, and she would do anything to see us step down as the leaders.

I looked around and people were staring at us. Some people who like and support her for their own reasons were waiting to hear what I will say.

"She'll be fine", I answered her with an obvious stretch of sarcasm.

"Where is your husband? ", she asked again.

"Point of correction Camila, your chief ", I said again with disgust.

"You of all people should know that he is not my chief, Patricia ", she said looking around to know if her followers were with her.

"Need I remind you who you are speaking to, Camila? ", Caroline, one of the members of the decision council asked her.

"I wasn't talking to you, Caroline ", Camila said in protest.

"But you are talking to the wife of the chief!! ", Caroline yelled.

"Do you have a problem with me?! ", Camila yelled back.

- I am not interested in picking fights with you Camila, but you should know your place.

- Oh, shut up Caroline, how can you, of all people, support this insanity. Support beings that are not of this world to rule us.

- Camila, stop this lunacy.

- We are tired of people with unhuman abilities telling us what to do, and today, we say no more.

"No more! ", people murmured in response to Camila.

"Camila! ", Caroline warned.

"No more supernatural rulers", she continued, ignoring Caroline.

"No more!! ", the people yelled in agreement.

"Camila!! ", I screamed as anger boiled inside of me.

Everybody went silent, even Camila.
The look on her face said it all. She didn't just hate us, she was scared of us and what we can do.

I stood up and as I wanted to make a step, a loud bang came on the door.
