History: Born as Lorelai Elizabeth Kirk, T'Lek was brought into this world during a violent time. Both her, and her twin James Tiberious Kirk were born on a Kelvin Medicle shuttle as their mom and many other crew members were evactued from the U.S.S. Kelvin. Their dad stayed behind, sacrificing himself and the ship to save the rest of the crew.
When the Kelvin's crew had reached safety, Winona and the twins were taken into immediate medical care. Life from that point on was not easy for Winona. Not only was she a widow, she was mother to a young boy and a set of twins. As T'Lek and James grew up, they felt the weight of being in their father's shadow. THey also felt unwanted from the looks that Winona would give them when she thought they weren't looking.
They often got into trouble, and had to be seperated in school in order to give the teachers a break. When they were twelve, they stole their dad's old convertible and took it for a joy ride. They also sent it flying off of a cliff, as a revenge to their step-dad Frank, who they hated with a passion. This prompted the man to send them to coloney on Tarsus IV, in hopes to 'set them straight'. Fastforward a few years, and one would find the twins living very different lives; one in Star Fleet and one not. When Jim joins Star Fleet on a dare from Captain Pike, their lives collide once again.
