"You're too nice, Bokuto," Taguchi said, a few tears slipping down his face. "Someday, you're gonna end up getting hurt, it's just what seems to happen to everyone who's nice to us." Taguchi wiped his eyes, "they either get hurt, or they turn bad."

Bokuto's eyes widened at Taguchi's sudden comment. The two had been slowly making their way back to the Bokuto residence, a sleeping Y/N in Bokuto's arms.

"Guess I'll be the first then." Bokuto laughed. "We'll get through this, I promise. And I promise that I'll try my best not to get hurt and not to turn bad either."

"Yeah yeah, whatever." Taguchi mumbled, a small smile pulling at the corners of his lips. Just the sheer kindness and confidence of Bokuto seemed strange to Taguchi, but he couldn't help but notice how Bokuto's personality would perfectly compliment Y/N's.

Taguchi furrowed his eyebrows as they got to Bokuto's home. "So what should we do?" Taguchi spoke up, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Well, we could ask if you could stay the night?" Bokuto shrugged. "I'm not really sure what we should do, if I'm being honest."

"There's no way that my mother will let me stay the night, but maybe she'll let Y/N stay since he's already... well, asleep." Taguchi sighed. "Let's just do that."

Bokuto tilted his head, letting out a small hum of confusion.

"I'll go home and try to at least talk things over with my mom, and then Y/N will stay here with you." Taguchi looked at Bokuto, then to Y/N. "It's the least I could do to try and smooth things over or at least figure out what happened, it's the least that I owe Y/N right now."

"Are you sure? I could try and ask if you can stay the night if you're not comfortable with going home." Bokuto suggested, a worried expression on his face.

"I'll be alright, get Y/N to call me in an hour and a half, and if he's not awake or if he doesn't want to, then just use his phone to call me, his password is your birthday." Taguchi said, before opening and walking through the door to see his mother and Ms. Bokuto waiting for them.

"Ah, Taguchi, it took you long enough to come back, now let's get going, we don't want to bother them any longer than we already have." Ms. L/N smiled, but her smile faded when she saw Y/N sleeping in Bokuto's arms. "Is Y/N alright?"

"Y-yeah, he's fine could he- er- could he stay the night here? Please? He really wouldn't be a bother, right mom?" Bokuto asked, worry lacing his tone.

"Of course not." Ms. Bokuto smiled. "As long as it's alright with his mother then it's alright with me."

"If- if you're sure then it's alright with me." Ms. L/N's voice had hints of a reprehensive tone, but she also seemed rather taken aback by the sudden suggestion. "Well then, we should get going, Taguchi." She quickly turned around, grabbed Taguchi by the wrist, and dragged him back home.

Bokuto let out a sigh of relief that he didn't realise he was holding in as Y/N's mother finally left. Ms. Bokuto sighed as well. "Is Y/N really alright, Kotaro?"

He shook his head. "I don't think so, he seemed pretty upset earlier, and he ended up basically crying himself to sleep. I don't really understand what happened, but he's pretty distraught. Taguchi doesn't seem very alright either." Bokuto pouted. "I just want them to be okay."

Ms. Bokuto patted Bokuto gently on the head. "They'll be alright, just give me some time and I'll figure everything out, I promise."

Bokuto smiled. "Thanks mom, I'm gonna take Y/N to my room, I'll just sleep on the floor in there and then he can sleep on the bed."

Bokuto rushed off before Ms. Bokuto could say anything more. She sighed. "He really cares about him." She smiled. "They'd be a cute couple."

Bokuto gently laid Y/N down on his bed, pausing for a moment to stare down at Y/N's peaceful expression. Just as Bokuto turned around to leave and speak with his mother some more, he felt a gentle tug at the bottom of his shirt.

"Don't.... Don't go..." Y/N mumbled, a childish pout on his lips.

Bokuto looked down at Y/N and gently caressed his face. Y/N leaned into the soft touch, reaching his own hand up to hold onto Bokuto's. "Please stay..." Y/N sleepily mumbled. "I don't wanna be alone again..."

Bokuto sat down on the bed next to Y/N and held his hand in his own. "It's okay, I'm right here, Y/N."

"Thank you, Bo..." Y/N mumbled, quickly drifting off to sleep.

Bokuto looked down at Y/N, and he lifted a hand to gently brush a piece of h/c hair out of the way of his face. Bokuto gently carressed Y/N's cheek, noticing how each of Y/N's features seemed to be so perfect and beautiful. To Bokuto, Y/N looked like a perfectly crafted porcelain doll, one which Bokuto wanted to protect forever.

Bokuto wanted nothing more but to hold Y/N, but he was scared that if he held him too tightly, then he was shatter, whether it be emotionally or physically. Bokuto felt a strange, yet pleasant way whenever he was with Y/N, a certain way which he had never felt with any of his other friends. Bokuto smiled as he looked at Y/N, before letting out a sigh at his confusing emotions.

Perhaps he should ask Akaashi if he knew anything about what he was feeling.
