Chapter 5.
"I can't believe you two. You jinxed it with your little bet." Nathan shook his head and looked the other way laughing.
I was still holding Spencer's hand and not a moment went by where I thought of letting go. We checked into the hospital at 2:49 pm and the paramedics came out to get Spencer. Still holding my hand, they transferred him onto the gurney.
"Are you his girlfriend?" some lady asked me.
"Uh...uhm...." I looked down at Spencer and he was slightly laughing.
"It's okay for her to come in." he chimed in.
He hadn't let go of my hand yet and I didn't mind at all.

I sat in his room alone for a little more than an hour when he was rolled in through the door. I helped him up and onto the bed. His leg was numb but the doctor said that although there was intensive swelling and bruising, everything looked fine. Just to take precautions, they wrapped it in a temporary cast which happened to be orange.
"Like the color?" he asked.
"I'm sorry I did this to you... This is why we should've played soccer and this is also why you should start listening to me and stop being such a stubborn little boy." I ranted on.
Spencer raised his hand and gently lifted my face, looking into my now hazel eyes. They tended to change colors depending on my mood) "Ally. I'm fine! Stop worrying because I don't like that."
I flinched the corners of my mouth to make a fast smile and turned around. I took out my phone and took a picture kissing his sore leg.
"Now we have matching pictures." I whispered. Spencer made an effort to smile a little and only after, did he realize what I had said.
"Wait, what picture?" he asked.
"Nothing. Nevermind." I replied trying to avoid eye contact.
There was a moment of awkward silence... well for me there was.
Then he thought it through and calmly asked, "You went through my phone, didn't you?"
I didn't let him finish his sentence when I blurted out, "It was all Chelsea's idea! She was the one who unlocked it& showed me my..." Spencer cut me off and grabbed my hands.
"It's fine Als! I'm not mad." he smiled. I looked into his eyes and my worried look slowly disappeared.
"I love those pictures of us." I said when I finally decided to speak.
"Yeah, me too, haps." he replied. I still didn't know what he meant by that.
We checked out and entered the waiting room where everyone sat, twiddling their thumbs.
"Well, if it isn't the violent couple." Asher jokingly cheered.
"Ha ha, you're so hilarious..." I responded as we both gave him the eye.
Nate came up to me and took over the wheelchair so I didn't have to struggle pushing Spenc. I was glad that Spencer didn't hate me or anything... that there wasn't any bad feelings. If there was one thing I hated, it was awkwardness and negative vibes between our friends. I walked along side Spencer when Chelsea jumped up onto my back. I carried her half way to the truck and we traded places. We just loved being the silly ones that didn't care what the boys thought.
As we made it to the truck, Asher unlocked the doors and Nate parked Spencer next to the passenger side door. Brandon went to assist him up into the truck but he refused. "I got it guys. I'm injured, not hopeless."
