Ben's POV

Last night I felt like I couldn't even look at Y/n.
I've been wanting to tell her how I feel. I never stopped loving her. Throughout our relationship everything was great but I ended because I knew she still loved him. What good is it going to do if I tell her my feelings. I can't spend the rest of my life pretending I don't have feelings for her.

I woke up and saw it was early and heard someone in the bathroom. I looked around the room and saw Silas was asleep.

What is she doing up so early?

She walks out looking more beautiful than ever.

She changes and gets out of the bathroom looking for her shoes.

Ben- Where are you going it's early

She turns to face me

Y/n- Out

Ouch I deserve that for acting like a complete dick last night
i should talk to her.

She turns away and looked at her phone

She reads it and grabs her purse. Walking toward the door I grab her shoulder

Ben- I want to talk today. I- I just didn't feel like it's been the right time but when is it ever the right time.

She just looked at me and nodded and walked out

Is this the right thing to do?

End of Ben's POV

Y/n got into Vinnie's car and they drove off.

He still looks sleep and his hair is all over the place
he is perfect

Y/n- You know we didn't have to do this. You seem like you're about to fall asleep.

Vinnie smiles a bit

Vinnie- I wanted to don't worry. I'm always tired anyway.

The drive lasted 10 minutes and he finally parked. Y/n looked out the window and saw this cute breakfast place. She had never seen or heard of it before. Vinnie quickly got down and opened the door for her. They walked in and got sat down at a booth next to a window.

As they were looking over the menu Vinnie looks at Y/n.

Vinnie- I wish you could stay longer

Y/n looks up at him sympathetically because she never thought this would happen. She never thought they would be in a good place again after so long.

She reaches over and grabs his hand.

Y/n- I know. I'm just glad we've worked it out between us.

As they looked at each other the waitress comes up.

"Good morning! What can I start you off with to drink?"

Y/n quickly lets go of his hand and grabs the menu again.

Y/n- Umm I'll have an orange juice please

Vinnie- Same here

The waitress left and that's when Y/n spoke up.

Y/n- Sorry for letting go of your hand so quickly. The waitress looks our age and I don't want you to get any hate over a rumor someone creates about us.

Vinnie- Well i've gotten used to the hate. And if I was afraid someone would see us I wouldn't have brought you out to a public restaurant. But if you're uncomfortable with it I completely understand.

Y/n- I just don't know how your new life works. I mean social media is basically an outlet for hate and I'm not used to it at all.

Vinnie- I get it it's okay. Takes some getting used to. Here put these on.

Vinnie hands Y/n a pair of sunglasses he had.

Vinnie- Just in case any sneaks a picture and sends it to tik tok room or something there's less chance of people seeing who you are.

Y/n- You really think sunglasses is going to help?

Y/n puts them on

Vinnie- Well no

He laughs

Vinnie- It's worth a try though

The waitress came back took the orders and ate their breakfast. As they were finishing up a group of girls started waving from the outside looking at Vinnie through the window.

Y/n look down at her phone and rested her chin on her hand. Vinnie gave a slight smile and waved. They had already paid and began finishing up.

Vinnie- Well I guess that's our que to leave

Y/n gets up and Vinnie is behind her. He puts his hand on her back as the walk out leading her out to the car. The group of girls were still outside taking pictures and asking Vinnie to take pictures with them.

Vinnie- Sorry guys not today

Vinnie kept walking with Y/n to the car and opened the door for her. They drove off quickly.

Vinnie- You okay?

Y/n- Yeah just glad we got to enjoy our food

Vinnie- Me too.

Vinnie grabs her hand.

Vinnie- So where do you want to go next?
