Lost Heroes

Chapter 20

Hello guysss so this chapter was really hard for me to write so sorry its late.I kind of struggled with this chapter which is why it isn't very graphic or explained well but just cope with me because I am trying to get better at these sort of scenes.Anyway this chapter was written for one of my best internet friends ever who is amazing and it was her birthday on the 12th of July but anyway happy birthday @Faithis260 for a bit less than a month ago😂. Now I present to you Chapter 20 of Lost Heroes...

"Mara, we don't want to harm you, stand down." Anakin soothingly said holding his luminous blue lightsaber in a defending position. Laughing maniacally Mara smashed her lightsaber against his with her eyes still flashing red.
"Well too bad because I want to hurt you, the other two don't matter only you do Darth." Mara hissed. Everyone flinched at the word Darth.
"I'm not who you think I am, I'm not the Sith Lord you think I am!" Anakin replied,"I'm not a monster."
"Not yet." She answered before force pushing Obi Wan and Ahsoka against the wall. "I don't remember either of you from the time I spent as the emperor's hand, who are you?" Mara spat," tell me or you wont be able to see the light of day ever again!"
"I'm Obi Wan Kenobi, Jedi of the Republic and this is Ahsoka Tano, Anakin's padawan." He said clutching his throat. Mara's eyes widened and she dropped them to the floor.
"Luke spoke so highly of you both and I don't want to hurt you, you have never done anything bad you never hurt my family, you don't know the monster he will become, you don't know the terror he will unleash and I intend to destroy him before anyone else finds out!!!!" She screamed her anger once again over powering her. Blue and purple collided as their lightsabers clashed together. Anakin kicked her in the stomach causing her to wheeze slightly before regaining her breath. She hit her lightsaber forward but Ahsoka blocked her attack. "I didn't want to hurt you, young one, it's not your fault you were dragged into this and he destroys the jedi and the universe."Mara whispered. "Even if what you say is true, we can stop it we can change the future!"Ahsoka replied in a harsh voice.
"Fate can't be changed." Mara hissed back.
"Then why are we all here..." Ahsoka sighed. Mara's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as the harshness in her thrust and the cold stare in her eyes faded away. The jedi slowly relaxed and unactivated their lightsabers. "Listen, Mara, I'm sure Luke wouldn't want this, for you to murder someone in cold blood." Anakin gently said putting his lightsaber on his belt,"I'm positive you've drifted far enough from the dark side to-"
"Dont pretend to know him, or me, you never did and never will. Fate is written." Mara said back in a somewhat sad voice.
"Well i'd like to talk to the author about destroying that book."Anakin calmly replied.
Mara decided to power off her lightsaber but her grip remained firmly on the handle. She wasn't sure what to think. Why are they all here? Where there sent here? Or banished? "I guess the only way to figure that out is to talk, come on Mara, remember what Luke said. The Emperor is not in control of you any more he can't hurt you and neither can Vader because he doesn't exist... at least not yet." Mara thought," maybe we can change it, if only we know what we are trying to change."
Anakin stepped forward as if to talk to her but a hand grabbed his arm stopping him. Obi Wan said (using the force to communicate)," Anakin, I think it would be better for someone she doesn't think is an evil Sith Lord to talk to her. Just go get the others and see that your wife is okay." Anakin opened his mouth to disagree but the stern look on Obi Wan's face made him decide otherwise.
"Come on Snips, let's go get the others." He said motioning to his padawan.
"Mara, are you okay?" Obi Wan asked as the door shut behind him. She stared at him in confusion. She just tried to kill him and two of his best friends why was he being so nice to her?
"I-I'm fine just why should you care, I just tried to kill you and your Jedi friends..." Mara mumbled.
"It's not your fault, you know things we don't and that's why we need your help Mara." He said calmly looking at her with hope in his eyes, for once letting out his emotions.
"Why should I help you, how does this benefit me?" She said walking over to the window and staring at the new world in front of her.
"I know you care about Anakin's son, Luke and doing this can change his life and give him everything he ever wanted: a life with his family." He said walking up to her.
She saw the hope in his eyes. The hope that everything she explained wasn't true and would never happen. The hope that it isn't their destiny. The hope that fate and destiny can be changed or re-written. There was so much hope that she couldn't refuse his offer, especially when it offered Luke a better chance at life with a family who loves and cares for him  and a universe free of the darkness the emperor had injected it with. This was the moment she had been waiting for, the moment when she can finally be a hero. Turning around from facing the window she said,"What do I have to do?"

Hey again guys I just had to say something quickly, so I know I have been really bad at updating lately but I promise I will try to update every week from now on. Next week I am in Centre Parks so I might update before I go if I finish it before then ,but if not then I will update as soon as I get back PROMISE.
