There was nothing but blackness in the distance, in all directions

There was nothing but blackness in the distance, in all directions. No matter how loudly I shouted into the abyss, nothing called back. The darkness only repeated what I said. I walked further into the dark, in hopes of finding some remanence of light. For what felt like hours I walked, so much that I could no longer tell what direction was left or right. But I did notice the sound of radio static getting louder with every step.

"Have you lost a loved one in an unfathomable way?" A woman with a commercial voice spoke. "And don't know how to cope? Turn around and everything will make sense. Turn around and everything will make sense. Turn around and everything will make sense."

The voice kept repeating itself, over and over again. When I turned, a man with blonde hair, and pale skin that almost looked blue, and black blood oozed from his mouth and eye sockets. They came centimeters away from his face. He had no expression and he smelt like rotten flesh.

The more I backed away, the closer they got.

"Look at me, One." Their voice was gritty. They sounded as if they were drowning.

They motioned toward their chest as their pace picked up. I looked down their body and saw a gaping hole in his chest. I looked back up in horror when I realized who it was.

"Billy?!"

"You did this to me!" He shouted. "You could have stopped it!" He was in despair.

"There was nothing I could do." I cried back to him.

He lunged forward and gripped my shoulders tightly, pulling me closer to his face. "Your next."

I gasped for air as I clenched my chest violently, letting out a scream like breaths. My heart was thumping in my ears, I couldn't hear a thing. My room was pitch black, and my eyes burned from how hard I tried to look around.

"ONE!" A voice yelled so loudly, that my head began to hurt.

The darkness vanished and revealed Steve Harrington. His hands rested on my shoulders, his eyes were wide, and his face was red. I could feel his heartbeat in his palms.

"Steve?" I whimper.

I looked at my window, then my poster, then my bedroom door, and back to my best friend. I lifted my hands shakily and rest them on his forearms. No other words were forming. Just an endless haze and brain numbness.

"We called. You didn't pick up so we came in. You weren't waking up." Robin stood in my door frame with a bucket of water and an air horn.

"Waterboarding me was your next plan?"

Steve nodded slowly while looking at the bed sheets.
I pushed the sheets away to reveal that I, my bed, and my entire floor was drenched in buckets of water. Steve stood up from the bed and sucked in air through clenched teeth.
