The night sky loomed over the woods, watching silently. Nothing made any noise, except for five people dressed in white and golden robes walking towards a large wooden house in the middle of the woods. The fifth person walked up to the door, and knocked. After a few seconds, a tall man with a short beard, jet-black hair, and wearing a black and white tuxedo peeked out the door. His dark green eyes looked at the five people, then turned to the person standing in front of the door.
"It's not even Halloween. What do you want?" He asked.
"We have news, Oliver Darkheart." The fifth replied. The people separated, and a tall person with black and purple robes walked towards Oliver. The man stopped, and looked Oliver in the eyes.
"We meet again, Oliver. We have a gift for you." He said. Oliver was hit with a puzzled look on his face.
"A gift? This better not be like last time." Oliver replied. The man in black and purple robes held a large wooden basket, with a white blanket over the top.
"Why have you truly come back here, Guardians?" Oliver asked.
"To inform you of a loss. He is gone." The man in black and purple robes explained. His arms extended forward with the basket in-hand. Oliver still had the puzzled look, but was also curious of what was in the basket.
"On this night, on October twelfth, we give you the child who will save our worlds." The Guardians said in unison.
"The child who will save our worlds? What are you talking about, Guardians?" Oliver asked. He opened the door fully, and walked out into the moonlit grass. The guardian in black robes gave Oliver the basket, and turned to face the other Guardians. Oliver looked at the basket, and then turned his head to look at the Guardians, but they vanished. Without a trace, the robed men had disappeared into the night. Oliver looked at the basket again, then turned the blanket over. There, laying at the bottom of the basket, was a child with a dark purple star over his left eye, and a memorable constellation on his forehead.
"Orion. I will call him Orion." Oliver said under his breath. He walked, with the basket in-hand, into the wooden house in the middle of the woods. Little did he know that a human-like figure with a ghost-shaped mask, and a wolf-like creature with piercing blue eyes both watched from the trees.
"Does the Star know?" The wolf-like creature whispered.
"No, they do not know of this." The ghost-masked person replied.
"Good. This stays between us." The wolf-like creature said as he walked into the woods. The ghost-masked person followed behind, looking over his shoulder to make sure they weren't followed. They made their way to a cave, and entered. A small, bright blue light shone from the cave. As soon as it appeared, it vanished into darkness.
