During this 50 years of independence , there has been a lot of progress in the field of mass media communication . During ancient times , there never used to be any tool to get information from any corner of the world by just sitting at home . There are various medias of communication such as radio , TV , newspaper , magazine etc.
It is said that ' Necessity is the mother of invention ' . As man developed in many fields his wants increased . He thus invented many things and one of the miracle that he invented was Television .
Television is compiled of two words i.e. tele and vision . Tele means distance and vision means sight . Television is a wonderful invention of our times . We can only listen the news and other programs on radio but TV gives us a visual look . There is also a dark side of TV .
As a coin has two sides heads and tails like vise TV also has two sides disadvantage and advantage . It's disadvantage are as follows . By watching TV for a long period of time affects our eyes and also our sight becomes weakend . Due to 24 hours TV programs , children avoid to study and they keep watching TV for a long time . Severe addiction of TV may also lead to blindness . Due to this , children do not go to play in the fresh air . So their valuable energy is lost in watching TV which have adverse effect on the mind of common people .
Most of the people get addicted in watching TV throughout the day and they do not know when to stop watching TV . Some ads are so rubbish that they just know to heat the consumers by pursuing them to purchase their equality inferior model .
Therefore what my dear friend said was not wrong but the fact is that TV is a gift to mankind and it should not be misused .
