Lea's POV:

I groaned as the alarm shrilled through my ears.

"Shut up." I mumbled grumpily shutting the alarm and stuffing my face into my pillow. Every inch of my body ached. You could thank the killer football tryouts for that. But it was worth it. Besides that, Alex and I exchanged numbers and decided to hangout this weekend since it was match night on Saturday. So I was pretty excited about that. After lazing around for a good ten minutes I finally decided to shower and get ready for school. After showering and drying my hair, I changed into a pair of navy blue denim shorts and a Pink Floyd tank top tucked in. I wore my high tops and carried my sling. I checked the watch and it read 7:37am. And for the first time I was proud of myself because I got ready in time. Ten points for speed Lea, damn girl.

I didn't bother putting any make up because it's school. Like who gives? And I am far too lazy to ace a line of eyeliner on my eyelids, so yolo.

I jogged down the stairs to the kitchen and grabbed a seat on the kitchen counter stool.

"Morning Momma dearest." I cheered.

"Someone's in a good mood." My mom said not looking back while cooking some pancakes, mmm.

"Not really." I joked.

"Here, have some. Nutella or peanut butter?" She handed a plate of freshly made pancakes asking me.

"Nutella please." I said already munching on them.

I made my way to the first lecture that was Visual Arts and Design. I was attending this lecture for the first time so I was hoping it would be good.

And it did turn out to be pretty good. We had this cool ass teacher called Mrs. Fitzgerald and she was so funny and so cool.

Thankfully the day passed by pretty quickly and it was already lunchtime. Or maybe I just zoned out. I tend to do that a lot.

I walked to the cafeteria where I told Jo I'll meet her but the crowd next to the bulletin caught my attention.

I walked towards the bulletin and asked someone what was going on,

"Final team lists are out." The girl told me.

I pushed my way through the crowd finding Alex right there.

"It's about time you got here, Mikaelson! Have a look!" She said grinning.

I looked through the list searching for my name. And there it was. I was in the A team. The higher team, I made it. I actually made it. A smile stretched across my face.

"Congratulations!" Alex cheered hugging me.

"You too babe!" I replied hugging her back and jumping.

I pushed through the crowd to make my way to the cafeteria and I couldn't stop smiling. It wasn't such a big deal I mean it's just a school team for many people but for me, it meant everything. Being a part of the team was the best feeling ever. That to being selected out of so many people is just overwhelming.
